My Mother received excellent care, couldn’t have asked for better. All the girls who attended to my Mum were fantastic, extremely proficient and very professional. Mum was very well cared for from start until she passed away.

This company provides an excellent service. All the carers sent to me were very caring, respectful and happy in their work. Despite the long hours they have to work. Also, they appear to be happy with their employers. The office is efficient, my calls are always answered thoroughly and any required

There have been occasions when visits have been time inconveniently but we feel you do this to meet my mother's requirements where possible. I would have awarded excellent for the staff but when new carers come they do not always follow the task list and in some cases have not even read it.

I would like to thank mum's new care provider for taking wonderful care of her. Mum who has Alzheimer’s needs constant help. Having not previously met my mum or visited the house her professionalism in offering help, support and providing commitment and dedication gave my mum the expert support she
needs on a daily basis. It was a long stint from 0800-1900 for a first visit and on arriving home I found my mum to be happy, smiley and responsive at a time when her needs are becoming more challenging on a weekly basis. Any concerns I had about leaving my mum for a period of time were reduced and as a new user of this excellent service I will be requiring Helping Hands to continue to support each week initially for two days but no doubt more at times when my routine changes and I can call upon excellent carers to provide hourly assistance.
I would highly recommend the services provided to anyone who cares for a loved one and needs that extra help when faced with future challenges.

Helping Hands Exeter really care about the people they look after. We have been so impressed with every step of this difficult process and nothing has been too much trouble. My elderly Mum is flourishing with their care. She's more energetic, cheerful, healthy and looks forward to every day. It means
she can stay at home with us. Mum says that she doesn't have 'carers' but 'friends'. I highly recommend them.

About me


I manage the team in Exeter, Devon, to ensure safe service for customers and carers alike.
I want to ensure our customers know that Care is better at home with Helping Hands and we continually strive to improve this service of care. I have been with the Exeter team since its opening in July 2017.
I am a grandmother to 5 girls, so this generally takes up a lot of my spare time. I also like to travel, dine out, and am a huge 70's music fan.


Experience and expertise


Previously I was a registered childminder for 16 years until I came into the adult care sector in 2012 as a carer. I then progressed onto other roles such as Patch Senior, Field Care Supervisor, Care Coordinator, and Assistant Manager.


I have registered as the Care Manager with the CQC, and I have my NVQ 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care, NVQ 1 & 2 in Counselling, and NVQ 1 in Dementia Care.
