My elderly relative lives in independent living accommodation and we needed carers to provide companionship and assistance with day to day tasks such as getting dressed and assisting with meals.
Helping hands worked with my elderly and myself to put together a care plan and package that more than met our requirements.
We have nothing but praise for Helping Hands and would recommend them without hesitation.
Very caring, honest, punctual, polite, attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. Mum really liked all carers and they all were really friendly with all the family. Communication was excellent and if the family needed to ask anything we always got an answer. A very good care company who I would highly recommend. Thanks helping hand for all you did.
Thank you for your lovely review. Your mum was a pleasure to care for.
My father receives care services from Helping Hands every day and despite all of the problems associated with the current pandemic the service has been consistently first class. The carers have always been sensitive to his needs, polite, courteous and very caring. He was very sceptical when we first engaged Helping Hands about anyone visiting him but the carers have been so friendly and caring that he now has absolute trust in them. Well done Helping Hands and thanks for your continued support.
The manager and her team have been looking after my mum for over 4 years and they are great. I cared for my mum and worked full time prior to employing the carers and I was massively overwhelmed. Ever since she came on board my mum has been cared for and has improved in some areas and I don't need to worry anymore.
Helping Hands put a care package in place to look after my mum who suffered with dementia. I put all mums information in a folder regarding her care needs and updated it on regular occasions and they gladly adhered to this. If and when we had any issues the management sorted it immediately. They were contactable at any time. They would help with the shopping list by adding items of food that mum was running low of. They filled out food diaries as her eating habits weren't very good, on regular occasions when mum refused to eat they would offer her an alternative or ask her what she would like instead, giving her the choice. They would sit and chat with her and watch tv. They would load/unload the washer and hang it out (weather permitting) or place over the radiators, fold and put away when dry. They would remove and take the rubbish out and nip to the local shop when mum run out of things. They went up and above their requirements and this was very much appreciated by all the family.
This company is brilliant. Has helped me go out and about and access the community like every other young person my age. Not only that but they have helped me improve with practical skills and my daily life. They have helped immensely with my mental health and increasing my confidence and skill to interact with others. They are always there when I need them, whatever the time or date, if I’m feeling lonely and need some help, they are always there. I get on with all of the staff very well, everyone is kind and welcoming. I am very privileged to have this care company in my life. I am a service user but so is my younger brother who has his own additional needs. They are very accommodating to this and understand my family situation. Overall, from using Helping Hands, it has had nothing but a positive impact on my life, and I expect it will have a positive impact on my future.
The quality of care provided by Helping Hands- 5 Towns is outstanding. There is nothing that is too much trouble and the whole team genuinely care. After using a lot of other care companies over the years I can honestly say that I have never been looked after better.
My grandfather looks forward to his daily call and as a family, we are given complete peace of mind. I can't recommend this company enough.
A very helpful company who helps a friend to get out and about a lot more than they could without their care, allowing him to get more of his social life back. Great staff who are very warm, friendly and very compassionate about every one of their clients and go above and beyond for all.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company for any family/ friends that may require this type of service.
Absolute fabulous care staff and management! Could not ask for better care. All staff members go above and beyond with the care they provide.
Helping Hands have been very professional in their approach by adapting their care provision to cater for my specific individual requirements.
They have been very willing to learn how to help me with my specific daily physio requirements and also record keeping, which is very important for my litigation process.
Their friendly but professional approach to both me and my extended family has helped us all to get the best out of their service provision.
