MyHomecare Cheshire is a locally based domiciliary care provider supporting adults to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes. Care is delivered in a flexible and responsive way, tailored to each individual’s needs, routines, and preferences, recognising that no two people or families are the same.

A range of services is available, including daily visiting care, live-in care, dementia support, and short-term or hospital discharge care. Daily visits provide support with personal care, medication prompts, meal preparation, mobility, light household tasks, and companionship, helping individuals remain independent while receiving assistance at the right times. Live-in care offers continuous reassurance, safety, and companionship for those who require ongoing support, enabling people to remain at home rather than move into residential care.

Dementia care is delivered in a calm, respectful, and person-centred way, focusing on maintaining familiar routines, reducing anxiety, and preserving dignity and identity. Short-term and recovery care supports individuals following illness or hospital discharge, helping to re-establish routines and confidence at home.

Person-centred care underpins every aspect of the service. Time is taken to understand each person beyond their care needs, including life history, preferences, values, and what matters most to them. Families are supported through clear communication, guidance, and reassurance, particularly during times of uncertainty or pressure.

Care begins with a comprehensive home assessment to identify priorities, assess risks, and recommend the most appropriate level of support. Carers are thoughtfully matched to ensure continuity, trust, and positive relationships. The overall aim is to provide reliable, compassionate care that adapts as needs change, enabling people to live well at home with confidence and peace of mind.

It is over the last year not just individual months. I am unhappy with how my husband who is registered blind was asked to sign something which he can't read, me or my son was not informed about the visit. Two thirds of the carers are really good caring, interested and helpful. Some of the carers don't
even say hello to me or declare themselves when they walk in. I am not happy with the service overall, some carers are in for 10 minutes sometimes less. There has been several occasions when the valve on leg bag has been left open, I have to get my son or granddaughter to come around and change the bed but it won't get rid of the smell of urine. My son was so disappointed with the service provider not getting back in touch that he phoned the C.Q.C only after this did the provider approach the issues he raised. If on any occasion anyone comes to see my husband myself or my son should be notified in advance. This is not a 5 star review.
Reply from Andy Barber, Director at My Homecare CheshireThank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We are sorry to hear that parts of the service caused distress to you and your family. We recognise how important dignity, communication, and consistency of care are, particularly when supporting someone with additional needs, and we are sorry where expectations were not met. The concerns raised have been reviewed by management as part of our ongoing review of the care we provide.

My family would like to say thank you for the care and support you have given my dad in the short time we have known you: unfortunately, he was taken into hospital. All your staff have been trained to a high standard for they are genuinely impressive showing their patience, energy and support! He said
it meant a lot to him and could ask for anything without feeling uneasy! Carers you should be proud and wishes only the best for you all. At the moment he’s in respite for a few weeks and hopefully on returning home he gets to see you again, he calls you little angels.
A professional agency and would definitely recommend your service! We hope we will see you all again soon. Keep up the good work, take care, thank you.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.111 for My Homecare Cheshire is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 18 Ratings = 4.111
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for My Homecare Cheshire is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
