Elmes Homecare provided a service to my elderly mother for a number of years. As mum's physical and mental frailty increased the service was increased to meet her needs. The carers were always so reliable and kind, especially when things became very difficult with mum's mental state last year. Elmes were always very helpful and quick to respond to mums ever increasing needs, including a number of emergency situations. It was a service I knew I could rely on and their support over the last year was invaluable. I cannot recommend them more highly.

I have been receiving one hour of care each morning for the last few months to help with my personal care provided by Elmes Homecare. I have two excellent designated carers who arrive promptly each day. They are kind understanding patient friendly and efficient and I have nothing but praise for the care they provide.

Elmes Homecare has been looking after my mother since her husband died 18 months ago and also looked after him previously. We are extremely happy and satisfied with the care they provide and would definitely recommend them. Carers and office staff are always very helpful and understanding and very accommodating to any last-minute requests.

This was my first time getting any support in the care of my elderly (96-year-old) mother, and both she and I were a little apprehensive. However, Elmes Homecare made the whole process very reassuring. Currently, they are providing companionship visits to Mum so that I can have some kind of social life and the relief to me of being able to leave my Mum in safe hands has been immense. We had been concerned that perhaps Mum would see a parade of different carers but in fact, so far, Mum has had the same carer every time and the pair of them already seem to have formed a lovely bond. As a sole carer for my mum, I was beginning to feel overwhelmed but now, with the help of Elmes, I feel as if I have got some of my old life back and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We approached Elmes when my father needed care in his home. I became aware of Elmes originally when they used to attend my elderly neighbour all through covid and was very impressed that she had excellent care. The care and understanding my father now receives from them is first class they always communicate with me on the smallest of issues and my dad (who is ultra fussy) is so happy with the wonderful care he receives. We would be lost without them for sure totally reliable and trustworthy.

Elmes Homecare are a marvelous care agency. Because of their personal care of our dad (93 years old) over the last two years, it has been possible to enable Dad to remain in his home, despite him becoming very forgetful and unable to look after his domestic arrangements. Dad enjoys the company of the lovely carers who look after him four times a day, sorting his meals and laundry, keeping him calm, having lovely chats and ensuring his medication regime is kept to, etc. His house is also well looked after! Elmes are excellent communicators and ensure we know of concerns they might have or changes to timetables. In fact, there are very rarely any changes to Dad’s care plans. Elmes have swiftly accommodated last minute needs to increase Dad’s care plan hours. They go above and beyond their duty of care. We highly recommend Elmes.

I highly recommend Elmes Homecare Ltd, having been a client for nearly three years now. They choose their staff well and work cooperatively with the client to maintain high standards in their levels of care and interpersonal relationships. This has been vital for us, as a family, as both our parents have dementia and one of them can't communicate their needs. The carers are kind, respectful, observant and caring and issues are communicated to us if they arise. The office staff are friendly, helpful and do their best to be accommodating with any extra requests for help, which can sometimes be last minute. Overall, we feel able to trust in the care they provide, which gives enormous peace of mind and enables the family carers to maintain a life balance in challenging circumstances.

This is the second time Elmes Homecare have provided companionship care visits to my elderly mother while we have been away on holiday. The support is excellent and nothing is too much to ask of them. I will definitely use Elmes again and recommend them highly to everyone.

Excellent staff; pleasant and client orientated with good rapport. Physical handling generally good. Evening timekeeping a bit shaky. Scope for better organization of operations and updating information to client.
