I would not recommend this company. I found the staff to be of very mixed ability. Some were very caring and provided a good service whilst others did the minimum and did not recognise the emerging needs of their patient. Meals were left inaccessible to my father and his basic hygiene was left unattended on several occasions. The carers' focus appeared to be entirely on following their check list whilst there was little recognition of changes in my father's deteriorating condition. With one exception, I did not feel that the staff showed any genuine care for his well being.
Thank you for taking the time to share this, Jackie. We're sorry to read your experience of our care for your father, and we understand how worrying it must have been to have concerns about his wellbeing.
The issues you've described, including meals being left inaccessible and his changing needs...
Very good social visits from staff especially one who mum developed a good bond. Bluebird are professional and always willing to listen. Had a slight problem when mum went into hospital, but it was soon resolved.
Thank you for the review. We are really glad to hear that your issue was resolved hastily. We thoroughly enjoyed caring for your mother.
I find it difficult to rate the services and staff, some are very good and some less so. Generally things tick along, but queries are always dealt with promptly. It is enabling my Mother to live at home.
Thank you for getting in touch and leaving a review. I am grateful that you feel queries are dealt with well. I will ask my colleague Candi to touch base with you to discuss any areas of improvement we can discuss with our team members to make yours and your mother's experience with us more beneficial.
The ladies that visit mum are all punctual, polite, friendly and professional. They ensure mum is happy, has her personal care completed and that she is hydrated and fed.
Any minor issues I have raised have been dealt with promptly by Candy.
I have awarded 4/ 5 stars as the ladies sometimes did not follow all mums care needs specifically as I had requested, even after several conversations. On the whole though, mum really likes her carers. She feels safe with them and I feel she is safe and well cared for with them. She and I are very happy with the service they provide. I would recommend to others who need a daily care.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. We all enjoy visiting your mum and we are glad to hear you both feel safe.
I have found everyone at Bluebird Care very helpful. Candi came out on a home visit and met me and my two sisters (Sue and Sandra) Sue being the sister having carers. Candi was very accommodating in every way, advising us if we have any concerns to be in touch straight away.
Thank you for your review. We really appreciate the feedback. We are glad you are happy with the care provided and support from Candi and the team.
Always available for a call, the office staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. The carers are compassionate and capable and as someone who has never left her mum in anyone's care before, i soon felt reassured. I would recommend Bluebird Care, and have done already.
Thank you for completing a review. We are glad that you are happy with the care provided for your mother and we continue to enjoy supporting her. It is a big step having someone come into the home and help and we are really glad that you are reassured and feel that we can for her well and with compassionate.
I have found bluebird very courteous and helpful. We have not been using them for very long but have no complaints to date. My only comment is that the weekend charges are substantial especially for a couple. Unfortunately I don't know how long my parents income can sustain this as they are self funding and any income/savings is rapidly being eaten up. I appreciate your staff need to be fairly rewarded for their hard work and empathy but would be grateful if there could be any discount for a couple.
Thank you for getting in touch and completing a review. We are glad that you are happy with the care provided. The couples rate that your parents are on is a cheaper option to paying for 2 people however I appreciate that it is more than the single person rate. I will ask my colleague Candi to contact you to see if there is anything we can do to help.
I found all the ladies who cared for me were lovely, kind and very helpful, did everything I asked them to do for me. I would like to thank them all.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. Its excellent to see you have had such a good experience with our service and I look forward to passing on your comments to those who have had the pleasure of visiting you. Thank you again for taking your time to do this its so valuable to us and we hope to be help when needed.
Always pleasant to have the visit, especially as I live alone (I am 98 years of age).
Thank you for your feedback. We enjoy visiting you and hope you continue to enjoy our visits.
Bluebird has provided excellent care for my father since he has required extra support in his home. Care staff are very friendly, caring and kind, treating my father with respect and dignity. They have a good rapport with him, especially the ones he sees regularly. I am kept well informed by management and the carers themselves of any problems that arise. The management team are very approachable and efficient.
Thank you for your feedback. We are really glad that you are happy and enjoy visiting your father.
Staff plan not always correct.
Thank you for the feedback. We enjoy visiting you and I am glad you are happy with the care you are receiving.
Satisfied on all counts. It's difficult to read times on weekly schedule. Could the print be larger?
Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate it and can definitely look into getting the rota in a larger print for you.
At every stage, the office staff were extremely responsive and managed to increase his care plan in a timely manner despite the well-known pressures on social care generally. This included finding an excellent emergency live-in carer over the recent Christmas and New Year period.
The staff who visited and cared for Dad were invariably friendly, sociable and respectful. His two main carers were exemplary in their genuine interest and concern for him.
Social care is not a perfect world but overall Bluebird gave us splendid support and I am very grateful for their help.
Thank you for your review. We are grateful and glad we could support your father at home. It was a pleasure getting to know him and his family, whom he always spoke so highly of. We wish your family all the best.
I am completely satisfied with the service.
Thank you very much for your review. We really enjoy visiting you and look forward to seeing you soon at our next coffee morning.
Outstanding-booked your team after an online search for care after breaking my right elbow. One staff member, in particular, was fantastic and also a staff member from the office, was completely professional in every way. Score out of ten-20+. I would highly recommend you. I have already passed your details on to a friend.
We are really happy to hear your feedback and grateful that you trusted us. We wish you all the best in the future.
We had experience of a previous care agency but went with Bluebird because they did shorter visiting times. Because of our experience with another supplier, I know that Bluebird fell short in a number of areas (the other provider was far superior and also cheaper).
The management constantly came to us with problems rather than being solution-led and just kept trying to extract more and more money. Two or three of the carers were fabulous but others were not. When we tried to change carers (which they claim to be able to and you pay a premium for) they were not able to facilitate this.
Please do your research with other care agencies before going to Bluebird.
Thank you for your feedback, Rachel and I can understand your frustrations in relation to the concerns you have raised. I am glad you were happy with some of the care team because they thought highly of your mother. We hope that your parents settle in well to their new home and we wish you all the best.
I am very pleased with the care provided for my bed ridden mother.
Take care.
Clear, concise communication.
Dignity and personalised attention are a priority.
Staff are valued and happy.
Family support is excellent.
Warm and welcoming, comfortable, trustworthy and honest.
Thank you for your note. We really appreciated your support whilst caring for this lady, and she has left a lasting impact on us all. We wish your family all the best in the future.
Overall, I was very pleased and confident to let them into my mother's house and trust them with her care. Would definitely use this company again in the future.
Thank you very much for your feedback, Angela. We are glad that you felt reassured by the office team and happy with the care provided to your mother. We all enjoyed getting to know your mother and chatting about her life and family. We wish you all the best and hope to hear from you again in the future.
I have no complaints. I receive first-class care and I would complain if otherwise.

After working overseas and seeing first-hand the health care that was provided, when I moved back to the UK, I had the drive to work in the healthcare industry and ensure that people were receiving the best care possible.
Prior to starting with Bluebird Care, I worked in the Ambulance service, so saw the industry from a bigger perspective.
I joined Bluebird Care in 2011 as the Care Coordinator and progressed through the ranks to Care Manager. This drove my passion for top-quality care delivery and enabled me to see the different roles within the team. As the Director and owner of Bluebird Care Gosport, I firmly believe that what Bluebird Care stands for is exactly the type of quality care provision that I want to be associated with.
I judge myself daily by whether the service we provide would be good enough for one of my own family members. I believe that a healthy and fulfilled lifestyle does not stop at the front door, and I am passionate about enriching the community as a whole. We have a fantastic team of compassionate and caring staff who are dedicated to delivering the best care and support.
I have always enjoyed working with people, and after a volunteering trip in Africa, I returned knowing I wanted to work in the care sector. I have been working in independent living since 2016 as a support worker and coordinator, and joined Bluebird Care Gosport as Customer Supervisor. I was in the role for a year and enjoyed spending my working day supporting the customers in whichever way that suited them, whether it be collecting essentials for them or going over for a cuppa and a chat.
Now, as the Operations Manager, I can support the supervisors to enrich the lives of the customers within the business as well as ensure that we are an employer of choice for the care assistants that work for us. I truly believe that a happy team is more productive and provides the best car,e and I look forward to keeping the morale within the team up and our mission statement followed.

I grew up in a village called West End outside of Southampton until I met my now husband Simon. I moved to Gosport at age 19 and have been here ever since. I worked in retail for 10 years and then at 2 removal companies in the office for another 10 years. I felt I needed a change and looked into care work. By then, I had lost most of my grandparents and missed chatting about the old days. I joined Bluebird Care almost 4 years ago now and have loved it ever since. Last year I progressed to senior carer, and later last year, I accepted the role of Care Assistant supervisor.
I love getting out and meeting up with the carers for observations, supervision, or just to see how they are getting on, as well as still getting to see our customers and covering care visits when needed.
In my spare time, I love to take my dog Bailey out on long walks and explore new areas. When we are out, I’m always taking photos. I love seeing my nephew and niece, who live just up the road, meeting up with friends and staying over with my mum and stepdad over the Island when I can, watching TV and cooking up new recipes when I get a chance.
Jamie’s experience in care began at a young age, inspired by his father, who worked as a therapist supporting autistic individuals. As a child, Jamie often accompanied his dad on holidays with the people he supported, planting early seeds of empathy and understanding that would shape his future career.
Jamie’s professional journey has been varied and rich. He first trained as a chef before transitioning to front-of-house hospitality, eventually becoming Assistant Manager at the Balmer Lawn Hotel. While he thrived in hospitality, Jamie felt a calling to return to the care sector, particularly in autism and mental health services.
He worked in several care homes before being promoted to Team Leader and then Deputy Manager in a residential setting for autistic adults. Recognised for his skills and leadership, Jamie was offered a position on the company’s training team. He soon became Regional Trainer, delivering training across 56 sites along the south coast on a wide range of care-related topics.
Following this, Jamie took a brief step away from care and worked as a delivery driver for Argos, before returning to the sector to support people living with dementia and those receiving care at home. He quickly progressed into a Field Supervisor role and then into coordination, managing care delivery and supporting staff across the service.
Always open to new challenges, Jamie later worked as a bus driver across the New Forest and Dorset. However, after experiencing a health scare, he decided to return to what he truly loved, supporting others. That’s when he joined Bluebird Care.
Jamie brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and a calm, confident presence to his role. His varied background and in-depth knowledge of both frontline care and leadership make him a valuable asset to the team and a trusted point of support for customers and colleagues alike.
Candi’s journey into care began early. At just 13 years old, she became a young carer for her nan, supporting her with personal care, nutrition, hydration, and offering companionship in the evenings so her nan was never alone. At 15, she completed work experience in a care home and discovered a real passion for supporting others.
After becoming a young mum, Candi spent several years working in cleaning and part-time factory roles while raising her family. At 22, she joined Vista (The Society for the Blind), working in a day centre for elderly people with visual impairments. She loved the role and remained there for three years, until becoming a full-time stay-at-home mum after the birth of her third child. During this time, all three of her children were diagnosed with autism and ADHD, and Candi dedicated the next ten years to supporting their needs.
When the time was right, Candi returned to care. She quickly built strong relationships with her customers and felt deeply connected to her role, confident she had made the right decision. When the company she worked for restructured and her care round ended, Candi joined Bluebird Care
At Bluebird Care, Candi thrived as a care assistant, but her desire to do more led her to apply for the Care Coordinator role. After her interview, she was offered the position of Customer Supervisor, a perfect fit that allows her to stay involved with customers while also helping to plan and manage the care they receive.
Since stepping into the role, Candi hasn’t looked back. She loves being able to support customers not only in person but also through thoughtful, well-organised care planning. Her personal experience and passion for making a difference shine through in everything she does.
Nicky began her career in the care sector as an apprentice with Hampshire County Council, working in a nursing home while completing her NVQ Levels 2 and 3. Afterwards, she became an NVQ assessor, a role she enjoyed but found herself missing the daily interactions with older people who required care. In 2010, Nicky joined Bluebird Care as a Care Coordinator and soon took on the role of Customer Supervisor.
After five years with Bluebird Care, Nicky took maternity leave and decided to become a stay-at-home mum for a while. She welcomed another child during this time, and once both were in school, Nicky felt the pull to return to the work she loved. She rejoined Bluebird Care as a bank carer and quickly realised how much she enjoyed being back. Before long, she became a permanent member of the team.
In November 2023, Nicky was nominated for ‘Home Care Worker of the Year’ for the Southeast at the Great British Care Awards, which she went on to win. Following this achievement, she was asked to take on a temporary role within the office to assist with admin and audits. After a few months, Nicky transitioned into her current role as Recruitment and Marketing Manager, a position she is excited about as she continues to learn and grow in new areas.
