Overall Experience

North East Dartmoor Care, NEDcare, have looked after my partner from November 2022 after he returned from six months in hospital. His care is end of life. I cannot praise sufficiently the team of men and women who work four times a day in pairs to ensure my partner has a decent quality of life. He is severely disabled physically by cancer. They bring professionalism, good humour, imaginative problem-solving, team collaboration and kindness. They are always on time, and have never let us down. They come from a wide range of professional and other backgrounds; ex-engineer, ex military, ex teacher, social worker, shop manager, care assistant, care starter and many more. They bring their range of life experiences to the job. Some retired, some starting out, some mid career. They have saved my sanity and helped my partner's mental and physical health. There are many challenges out here on Dartmoor and they do support each other and are supported. This is our way of saying thank you and encouraging new recruits.
