Caremark Calderdale

My mother-in-law has the best team of carers supporting her every need on a daily basis. Caremark ensure she has continuity and has the same familiar faces who now know her so well. Nothing is too much trouble a this really puts us, as a family, at ease when we cannot be with her. The rapport they all have with her is lovely to see and I personally couldn't ask for anything more in her end of life care. Communication with myself from the team is excellent and I have no issues with contacting Caremark about anything at all - even if I need to talk I feel they will always be there for me too, which I appreciate hugely. They sing with her, they dance, they provide the best reassurance when she is extremely confused and always manage to settle her. Video calls to us as a family when her carers are there are just more precious to us then we can say - being able to interact with my mum-in-law when we are not there is just lovely. Would highly recommend in a heartbeat x

What can I say as a child and family SW who has never had to deal with Adult care services. I was so lucky that Caremark were recommended, they have been nothing but reassuring, caring, passionate and sincere with such a difficult transition for me as an only child of a woman who has changed beyond belief. They have communicated, advised and accommodated our situation beyond belief . I am so grateful for their support would recommend them 100% Ive been a social worker for children's and family for years and thought I could deal with this; how wrong I was . They have been tremendous , caring supportive and provided me with such relief . I cannot state how pleased both my mother and I have experienced this team as I'm sure not everyone's experience has been like this, I hope others receive this support I'm definitely an advocate for them. Excellent service, all the staff are extremely friendly caring and have real compassion. Nothing is too much trouble at any time of day. I would 100% recommend this company and all the team.

All the staff were very polite and friendly, asking what we wanted them to do, e.g. body wash, cream on skin and pressure areas, change bed and make sure patient was comfortable, warm enough etc, put towels etc, to wash and dispose of soiled materials and gloves. They all made the patient feel relaxed and treated with dignity at all times. Checked all was ok before leaving. Their visits were appreciated, and we enjoyed their very relaxed, friendly and caring attitude to work. Excellent!

The staff are really good, if they're not sure about anything with Dad they will ring me and ask questions. Dad has adapted to them coming, which put our minds at rest. Would recommend them to family and friends.

My experience to date has largely been with the company director - as has happened before upon meeting me they have found me intriguing and asked if they can support me themselves. In this case I got on well over the phone first before we met and due to the Government covid19 lockdown. When your illness and disabilities are very severe and clearly life-limiting and unique in both the totally needless and avoidable way they come about and taking a lifetime (since 14 yrs old) extreme athlete and professional careers takes understanding.
