My wife is 86 yrs old and has been suffering from Alzheimers dementia for over 10 years. I am 87 years old and without the help of the carers I would not be able to continue to care for my wife at home.
All of the carers have treated my wife with dignity and respect which is very helpful.
The care has been 100% reliable, a carer always attends. The carers advice has also helped me look after my wife better during the rest of the days.
Finally Better at Home works seamlessly with Social Services.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We're incredibly grateful for your kind words and are so pleased to hear that our carers have supported both you and your wife with dignity and compassion. It means a great deal to know our team has made a difference, and we truly appreciate your trust in Better at Home.
Carers competent and kind. Punctuality pretty good considering.
If it was not for the care, kindness and proffesionalism of the 'Better at home' team my mum would not have been able to stay in her home. They really are fantastic and I cannot thank them enough!
It means a great deal to hear how much our team's care and professionalism have made a difference whilst supporting your mum. Thank you.
Our Mum receives 4x daily visits, continuity of carer is a plus as mainly the same carer does the visit x4 times a day so they can pick up on concerns sooner. We had a different experience prior to this with disjointed care.
The manager is a registered nurse and her skills in managing the team plus ensuring good communication between our family and her care team has been excellent, even whilst dealing with complex issues for my Mum. We are very grateful to the carers and to the whole team at Better at home Care
Thank you so much for your review. We're really pleased to hear that the consistency of care and strong communication have made a positive difference for your mum and your family. It means a lot to know that our team's professionalism and person-centred approach have been felt. We're truly grateful for your trust and your kind words, they mean a great deal to all of us at Better at Home.
I am very happy with the care I receive. The carer is very kind, patient & respectful. She always treats me with dignity & we have a good giggle together. She helps me feel safe & comfortable, she cooks me good food. I am grateful for the help & support I receive & I am pleased for the service provided, which means a great deal to me.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are truly delighted to hear how happy you are with the care and support you receive. It is wonderful to know that your carer makes you feel safe, comfortable, respected and supported, while also bringing warmth and laughter into your day.
Mum's carers are excellent and treat her as a respected member of their extended families. She looks forward to their visits and often tells me how they'll make time 'just' to sit and chat. They have enabled her to stay in her own home for far longer than we envisaged.
It means a great deal to us to know we've helped her remain happy and comfortable in her own home. Your kind words!
Mum became unwell in December and
as a result was bedbound. She needed a lot more personal care and changing her position in bed at regular intervals
The carers were all so kind and professional. They really did take great care of Mum,
treating her with dignity and kindness and developed a great relationship with her.
Mum has unfortunately since passed away, but I would like to thank Fay and all the carers that helped Mum for their kindness, hard work and devotion to the job.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We are grateful for the opportunity to have cared for your mum, and we're glad to know that we could offer her the kindness and dignity she deserved. Our thoughts are with you, and we truly appreciate you acknowledging our efforts.
My mum has carers visit her twice a day, they are fantastic carers who do not just look after her but give a amazing cpmp ay and become good friend. They know exactly how to look after her, they make her laugh when she is down and upset and also look after her day to day tasks. 10/10 for them all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely feedback. We're incredibly pleased to hear how positively your mum's carers have impacted her day-to-day life.
We used Better at Home for my father a few years earlier, so we knew exactly who to go to when care was required for my mother. She consistently had the same four carers during the last six months and they were all polite, helpful and kind. They helped with some chores around the house and tried to keep my mother occupied with activities. Whenever we required a change to the hours of care, the Management were helpful in establishing exactly what we needed. I would not hesitate to recommend them to other clients.
We truly appreciate the trust you placed in us to support your mum, especially knowing we had previously cared for your dad. We're very pleased to hear that the consistency of carers and the support provided made a positive...
We are relatively new to Better at Home but are experience has been entirely satisfactory. The lady carers who have provided the care to my wife have been friendly and very helpful . They assist my wife to get out of bed, washed and dressed which has been a great help. They are very willing to offer additional help with making the bed, changing sheets etc. We would be happy to recommend them
We are glad the assistance with personal care and additional household tasks has been of benefit. Your recommendation is greatly appreciated and will be shared with our care team.
I have experienced a difficult few months with the ill health of my partner.
Despite all this, I have been able to concentrate care and hospital stays, knowing that your magnificent staff are their to support mum in my absence.
It's easy for people to be critical when things go wrong, but it's more important to praise those who are doing well.
Thank you again for all your help and support.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful message. We're truly sorry to hear that you've been going through such a difficult time and hope your partner continues to recover well. It means a great deal to us that, despite everything, you felt reassured knowing your mum was being supported with...
I was pleased with the service we had in the evening. Very polite & efficient carers. I was not so pleased with service my husband received in the mornings though. Carer did not come till 11am, not good as my husband has a catheter & the night bag which needed to be empty earlier in the morning as it could cause an infection.
Dear Cherryl,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback - both the positive and the concerns.I'm really pleased to hear you were happy with the evening service and found the carers polite and efficient. I'll make sure your kind comments are passed on to the team.I'm also very sorry to...
The care he has received has been outstanding. Each live-in carer has been professional, kind and friendly, and done their utmost to make his life comfortable and pleasant. He has enjoyed some excellent cooking, and care was always taken to understand his likes and dislikes. We also could see that the house was kept in perfect order, with washing, and housekeeping.
After a stroke, he became very frail, and the compassion and kindness the domiciliary staff showed him was so kind and moving and we will forever be grateful.
We always promised our father that he would stay in his own home and Better at Home made this possible.
The personal interaction we received from the company's management over the 18 months was much appreciated.
Thank you to all of you.
Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear our staff were kind and compassionate and more importantly Dad was able to remain at home.
My mother has Alzheimer's so has 4 visits/day for personal care. My father also cares for my mother, but he has bipolar disorder and my mother can be challenging so the carers check that he's okay. Generally, the care has been excellent and we would not be without it. My father has a very good relationship with two of the carers - we have mentioned that they cope well with my mother. I think that has resulted in them being assigned to her, wherever possible. My parents are well looked after - the house is clean and they both appear in good spirits when I visit. There have been one or two issues my father has reported - carers smoking, a glass of water thrown on my mother, carers being a bit heavy-handed, coming too late in the morning (leaving mum for 15 hours in a wet bed). The agency did their best to sort the issue out quickly. Nothing can be perfect - my mother can be extremely challenging - we appreciate the effort made to make her and my father's care as good as it can be.
Better at Homeh has looked after my mother and stepfather for the past two years.
With their encouragement, Mum has been the best she has ever been. Her self-esteem and independence grow day by day.
Staff are polite, curious and kind.
Always willing to go the extra mile.
No task is too much.
Always willing to assist in difficult situations.
I can't thank Better at Home enough for all their input and encouragement for Mum.
We're delighted to hear that care is going well for Mum and your stepfather. Thank you for your feedback.
If supplies are needed, they are very good at notifying us.
Mum seems to get on with them very well and we are very happy with the way things are.
Really happy to hear things are going well with Mum! It's a pleasure to be able to offer our services.
After a thorough, caring meeting, it was agreed that one of the local carers would call in twice a day to cook meals, do a bit of light housework and essentially sit with Mum to give her the company and reassurance that she needed.
Happily Mum got her diagnosis and started to respond to the medication prescribed for her and little by little as she became stronger, the support from Better at Home was no longer required. I would highly recommend the diligence and professional care provided by the tight-knit team and the extended support given to the family as well. Thank you all!
Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to support your mother in regaining her independence. We're glad that she had a positive experience during the course of her recovery and are honoured to have been a part of your family's journey during such a critical time.
They welcome support and any ideas we have as a family.
I'm very happy to recommend all the caring staff my mum has come into contact with.
Thank you for your kind words! We're delighted to hear things are going well with Mum.
I am really pleased to have a good connection with one of the carers who personally keeps me informed which really helps us be on top of appointments and treatment needed.
Thank you. Really pleased to hear things are going well with Dad and our carers are able to connect with you to support with appointments and treatment.
I have a very good relationship with the carer, she treats my parents with kindness, respect and dignity. I feel that she genuinely cares about them and she is also competent, conscientious, trustworthy and reliable.
I also have a very good relationship with the manager, with whom I can contact at any time - if, for example, I want to ask for advice regarding my parents' health and well-being which has been of great help and reassurance to me. She is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things, I never feel a concern or question I have is too small.
I look forward to the whole team's continued support and care for my beloved parents.
Thank you for your positive feedback! It's really great to hear things are going so well for Mum and Dad.

I’m Regina, the Registered Manager and Co-Founder of Better at Home. With over 25 years of nursing and care experience, my passion has always been to provide high-quality, person-centred care that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
I started Better at Home in 2018 with my son, Mula, after years of seeing the difference truly compassionate, consistent care can make to families. Whether it’s supporting someone’s mum, dad, sibling, or friend, my focus has always been on dignity, respect, and putting people first.
Every day, I’m proud to lead a team that shares these values—working together to deliver care that not only supports people’s needs but also brings comfort, reassurance, and peace of mind to their loved ones.
Hi, I’m Mula, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Better at Home, which I started alongside Regina back in 2018.
My background spans a range of care settings including residential care, supported living, and home care, all in front-line, leadership and management roles. I’ve always loved working with people—both those we support and our incredible team—and I’m passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives.
What drives me is building a strong, positive culture where our service continuously learns, grows, and adapts to deliver the best possible outcomes. For me, leadership means staying connected to the people we care for and creating an environment where both staff and service users can thrive.
Hi, I’m Matthew, and I’m proud to be the Operations Manager at Better at Home.
I’ve worked in a variety of care settings over the years, and I bring that experience with me every day to help make sure our service is safe, smooth, and truly centred on the people we support. Whether it’s your mum, dad, grandparent or a close friend, I know how important it is that the care they receive is not only professional, but kind, respectful and consistent.
For me, it’s all about learning and developing—looking at how we can improve, support our team better, and make sure families feel confident and reassured at every step. I work closely with our care team to make sure everything we do reflects the values we stand for: putting people first a making a real difference and working together.
Hello, I’m Faith, and I’m the Field Supervisor at Better at Home.
I work closely with our care team, families, and professionals across the sector to make sure the care we deliver in people’s homes is safe, personalised, and truly compassionate. My role is all about maintaining high standards, supporting our care workers in the field, and ensuring that the people we support feel heard, valued, and well looked after.
I regularly liaise with district nurses, GPs, social workers, and other health professionals to keep communication clear and consistent, especially when someone’s needs change. Being hands-on and visible in the community means I’m always there to step in, solve problems quickly, and offer reassurance to both staff and families.
For me, it's not just about ticking boxes—it’s about building trust and making sure every individual gets the respectful, dignified care they deserve.
Hi, I’m Michelle, and I’m the Care Coordinator here at Better at Home.
My role is all about making sure the right carer is matched with the right person, and that every visit runs smoothly. I know how important it is to have someone reliable and familiar coming into your home and how consistency and continuity of regular faces matter, and I take it seriously.
I speak with families every day, and I understand that things can change quickly. That’s why I stay in regular contact with our carers and the people we support, making sure we’re always adapting, learning, and improving. I’m proud to be part of a team that genuinely cares and works together to make a difference.
