I want to express my sincere gratitude to Better at Home.
I have experienced a difficult few months with the ill health of my partner.
Despite all this, I have been able to concentrate care and hospital stays, knowing that your magnificent staff are their to support mum in my absence.
It's easy
for people to be critical when things go wrong, but it's more important to praise those who are doing well.

I was pleased with the service we had in the evening. Very polite & efficient carers. I was not so pleased with service my husband received in the mornings though. Carer did not come till 11am, not good as my husband has a catheter & the night bag which needed to be empty earlier in the morning as it
could cause an infection.

Better at Home have cared for my 94-year-old father for about 18 months. During this time he has had both live-in care, and domiciliary care, of 4 visits a day.
The care he has received has been outstanding. Each live-in carer has been professional, kind and friendly, and done their utmost to make
his life comfortable and pleasant. He has enjoyed some excellent cooking, and care was always taken to understand his likes and dislikes. We also could see that the house was kept in perfect order, with washing, and housekeeping.
After a stroke, he became very frail, and the compassion and kindness the domiciliary staff showed him was so kind and moving and we will forever be grateful.
We always promised our father that he would stay in his own home and Better at Home made this possible.
The personal interaction we received from the company's management over the 18 months was much appreciated.

My mother has Alzheimer's so has 4 visits/day for personal care. My father also cares for my mother, but he has bipolar disorder and my mother can be challenging so the carers check that he's okay. Generally, the care has been excellent and we would not be without it. My father has a very good relationship
with two of the carers - we have mentioned that they cope well with my mother. I think that has resulted in them being assigned to her, wherever possible. My parents are well looked after - the house is clean and they both appear in good spirits when I visit. There have been one or two issues my father has reported - carers smoking, a glass of water thrown on my mother, carers being a bit heavy-handed, coming too late in the morning (leaving mum for 15 hours in a wet bed). The agency did their best to sort the issue out quickly. Nothing can be perfect - my mother can be extremely challenging - we appreciate the effort made to make her and my father's care as good as it can be.

Over the years, Mum has had several care providers of which Better at Home has been the best.
Better at Homeh has looked after my mother and stepfather for the past two years.
With their encouragement, Mum has been the best she has ever been. Her self-esteem and independence grow day by day.

Always willing to go the extra mile.
No task is too much.
Always willing to assist in difficult situations.

My mother had become very ill and was undergoing tests for a diagnosis. Having already had the incredible staff from Better at Home to help nurse my Dad through the last months of his life, the family once again turned to them to help out with supporting Mum.
After a thorough, caring meeting, it was
agreed that one of the local carers would call in twice a day to cook meals, do a bit of light housework and essentially sit with Mum to give her the company and reassurance that she needed.
Happily Mum got her diagnosis and started to respond to the medication prescribed for her and little by little as she became stronger, the support from Better at Home was no longer required. I would highly recommend the diligence and professional care provided by the tight-knit team and the extended support given to the family as well. Thank you all!

Both my parents, sadly, have Alzheimer’s - Better at Home provides live-in care for them.
I have a very good relationship with the carer, she treats my parents with kindness, respect and dignity. I feel that she genuinely cares about them and she is also competent, conscientious, trustworthy and reliable.
I
also have a very good relationship with the manager, with whom I can contact at any time - if, for example, I want to ask for advice regarding my parents' health and well-being which has been of great help and reassurance to me. She is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things, I never feel a concern or question I have is too small.
I look forward to the whole team's continued support and care for my beloved parents.

I need support and help around my home to enable me to remain as independent for as long I can with the disabilities I have. This company is run by very caring and compassionate people who will go that extra mile. The heart is in everything carried out in my home and I am treated with respect and dignity.

I started Better at Home in 2018 with my son, Mula, after years of seeing the difference truly compassionate, consistent care can make to families. Whether it’s supporting someone’s mum, dad, sibling, or friend, my focus has always been on dignity, respect, and putting people first.
