My sister was cared for by Candour Care Agency receiving 2 carers 4 x a day. They provided an exceptionally high standard of care that was personal to her needs and showed understanding of her situation at all times. They were observant in their approach and identified when they thought other professionals were needed ie medical staff.
The staff were extremely friendly and it was lovely to hear laughter coming out of her bedroom when carrying out their roles. This allowed my sister dignity and respect and she felt comfortable in their presence.
The staff were professional and friendly at all times in their approach to my sister's care and also to my elderly parents who lived in the same house.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this care agency and team of staff.

Both my parents have been using Candour care company for almost 12 months now. They started just when I was feeling the pressure of doing it all myself. It was a great relief to me to have extra help and having regular visits not only for support but a friendly chat and company for my parents brightened their days too.
Dad has recently passed away. I'm still living with mum who now can't be left alone.
I've kept the carers coming to keep to the routine mum is used to and less disruption for her as she's enough to adjust to.
Again these girls are now becoming not only mums but my support. Since dad passed they've hugged me, cried with me and are so understanding and compassionate because they witnessed what I had to go through.
Kim at the office has sent me some lovely thoughtful, supportive and caring emails, it feels nice to have this team behind me to help to navigate the next steps.

Nothing is too much trouble, I'd be lost without them.

Last year my mother in law had suffered a serious fall resulting in hospitalisation and severe anxiety attacks and loss of confidence, to the point she wouldn't leave the house. Since engaging your company we have seen a marked improvement in her confidence and is now leaving the house accompanied by the carers and looks forward to her shopping trips and getting her hair done.

She is full of praise for her carers and as a family we can only thank you for alleviating the stress this was causing within the family. We have been her carers for approximately 18 years and were beginning to suffer ourselves from the strain that this can cause. We feel that when we visit now we can enjoy our time more with her without the pressures and expectations of being her full time carers.

Since June 25 when my dad fell and broke his neck and hip to him leaving hospital at the end of September our family have been through a rollercoaster of emotions. Then candour care came into our family and have been outstanding. Every step from the team at the office reassuring us with how everything works to answering our questions (even when we thought they were stupid) to the team who came to the house to see dad and our family. Everything has been outstanding. Allowing strangers into your home to help and care for your loved ones is hard, but every single team member has been patient, supportive, understanding and kind.

We as a family have had piece of mind that dads needs have been met and his best interests at heart. I can not speak more highly about the team other than to say thank you for all your care from me and my family.

Candour have been supporting my son, a young adult with autism, for several years now. He has been supported incredibly well, through both the good times and not so good times, in his quest to develop daily living and independence skills. The staff are incredible. He has a regular / lead person who works with him most weeks, with new staff occasionally being introduced to him to expand the team who work with him. He has now reached the point where he is positive about this, as he trusts the managers to match the staff well to his needs. This is a young man who is naturally highly resistant to change, and generally mistrusting of people; it is testament to the consistently excellent work by Candour Care, the outstanding staff working within the organisation, and the communication between them, that this works so well.

We recently changed carer providers to Candour after we had used their service for the overnight sit in service for my dad who has MND. We are ever so grateful for each and every carer that comes to look after my dad, they are so caring and look after his complex needs, nothing is too much trouble and level of care they provide is such a help to my mum who has to be with him 24/7 as he is unable to communicate and with the help of Candour staff my mum gets some respite knowing he is in safe hands. The staff are a credit to Candour.

Reply from Paul Serrio, MD at Candour Care Group

Hi Lindsay, thanks so much for the amazing five-star review! Its wonderful to hear that the team could support your dad and give your mum some well-deserved respite. The carers really care, and being described as a credit to Candour means a lot. If you ever need anything else, just reach out. Wishing you and your family all the best.

The carers i have been sent from Candour are so kind and friendly. They are such a breath of fresh air when they come with their smiles and warm greeting. It makes me forget how I am feeling. Some days I wake up in pain and feeling sorry for myself, but when they come I forget to feel sorry for myself because they have me laughing. Yes I'm still in pain but happier. Couldnt have been sent better carers.

Thank you to Candour Care for stepping in and helping out with a quick short term package, making it possible for me to take a mini brake with my daughter. As a full time carer for my husband little things like this have never felt possible for the last 10 years, until it was suggested to me about getting a career in for the few days away. It was made so easy, we made 1 phone call, i gave a brief outline what i required from there a carer came out at a time that was convenient us, when she left i felt at ease and confident my husband would be in good hands.
On my return, my husband had nothing but praise for the girls that came in through the day, it was planned so that the same 2 people came to see him for the 5 days i as away. He never felt uncomfortable around them or a chore for them, they were always cheery and pleasant, always had time for a chat.

I can't thank all the staff at Candour Care for a wonderful service provided, not only to my husband, but also to myself.

We can't thank Candour enough, when looking for a quick/short term care package for my mum, in-between hospital & assisted living. They not only stepped in & provided the care needed, but were flexible in meeting any tweeks that needed to be made at short notice. We would like to thank the whole team, especially the lady in management, two other ladies and also the other members of staff who looked after her and being very patient & understanding.

Candour Care have been amazing , really have been a big help for me, after suddenly becoming a carer for my mum following emergency surgery and an extensive hospital stay. I wasn't sure where to turn especially as we had a holday planned and I was in two minds to cancel. After meeting with Business Support Officer and getting reasurances that my Mum will be well cared for whilst I went away. Every staff member was helpful, considerate, supportive and professional, and they made my mums day. Even going forward i feel I can turn to her & her team in the furture whatever else happens. I was able to relax and enjoy my break easily whilst my mum was being looked after at home, they've even gone the extra mile in supporting me since my return, just knowing they really care not just about my Mum but also me & my husband.

Candour Care have been absolute life savers for me, and have meant that I'm able to continue living independently in my home, even with my ongoing health issues. Every staff member I've met has been helpful, considerate, supportive and professional, and they are always a bright part of my day, whatever else has happened. I've been able to easily tailor my visits around my own hospital visits or whilst my mum was very ill, and they've always gone the extra mile in supporting me and being flexible when I've needed it. I know I can always speak to someone for advice or with any questions, and someone will find a solution to any problems that come up. I can not speak highly enough of the care and attention that has been given to mum since an unsafe discharge from hospital following five weeks as an inpatient. The head office team at Candour Care Group pulled out all the stops in ramping up mums existing care package at very short notice, providing an amazing service to enable me to maintain my job whilst mum received exemplary care. The individual carers have all been excellent they way they communicate with mum and anticipate her needs is amazing. Without their care, I dread to think what we would have been faced with. I got in touch with this company to help my mum out after her fall in December. They came out to assess her, which they did very quick and good, which I was happy with. We chatted and came out with care times and what she needed, which they did very good, and I was happy and my mum was. The level of care was very good and they took care of my mum which made the family happy. I would really recommend this company to any one who needs care and help and would definitely use them again if my mum or any of my family need it. I think they have really good workers who work for them and they are very helpful and caring and polite. One of my friends who works for the company, but cannot name her, but I would like to thank her for all the help and work she did for my mum. The review and ratings I gave the company, which was full ratings, so I would like to thank all the staff and my friend for the work and help so if any of my friends, me or help for family, I would really use this company again.
