Helping Hands Home Care, thank you so much for all of the help you are giving my mum. The carers are always friendly, caring and very professional. My mum enjoys their visits and a chat. The office staff are always helpful if I need to phone about anything. It is peace of mind to know that there is always a carer going to visit my mum morning and night. Thank you.
My mum has only lovely things to say about the care she is receiving from Helping Hands. They go the extra mile within the time frame they have been given for the visit. It has taken the stress away knowing my mum is being cared for, looked after by an excellent team and who can be relied on coming in on a set time and day.
The care and service provided by a member of staff and her team has been very good throughout. They have helped us and my parents out extremely well, in what has been a very difficult time. A number of the carers are very popular with my parents, one in particular. With my mother’s development of dementia and my father’s old age we have found a member of staff and her team to be reliable and very supportive in both the care that they provide to my parents as well as helpful in sorting various arrangements out.
New to Helping Hands Home Care (Christchurch & Bournemouth) from March 2021, having previously received care for my wife for 25 years. Very caring carers with an excellent manager who is well respected by her team. The manager is outstanding and has been keen to ensure my wife's needs are well met by "leading from the front" and making sure her care team are fully trained and competent to deal with my wife's complex issues. Areas below that are marked good as opposed to excellent are because carers have been learning about their new client, but there are no concerns.

About me
Hello, I am responsible for managing the team at Helping Hands Christchurch, which includes both the office team and our amazing team of carers who deliver care every day to enable our service users to remain in their own homes. Care is at the heart of everything we do, regardless of whether the team are working face to face delivering care or working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everyone is safe. We work alongside a variety of healthcare professionals to ensure we provide the highest quality of care, and support as many people as we possibly can.
My journey in care started whilst I was studying at university. I have worked with Helping Hands for over three years, working in various roles in both West Sussex and Dorset. I am extremely passionate about domiciliary care and enhancing the quality of our customers' lives to remain in their own homes, surrounded by loved ones. I find it extremely rewarding when we achieve a positive outcome for someone we support and their family and also support our team to deliver the best care possible.
Experience and expertise
I completed an undergraduate and postgraduate in Sport and Exercise Psychology whilst I started working as a carer and my love for care developed from there. I continued my journey in care as a Care and Training Practitioner, Care Coordinator and most recently, a Branch Care Manager. I am currently working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
Why I chose Helping Hands
I have worked at Helping Hands for over three years and I have worked in many roles, progressing into a Care and Training Practitioner, Care Coordinator and Branch Care Manager. Helping Hands are extremely supportive and there is a wide range of resources to support our carers, customers and office team. Kindness is celebrated throughout the whole company and underpins one of our key foundations.
