Guardian Angels is a well organised friendly care organisation who have a sensitive understanding of their clients and their relatives.
They are able to pair their carers with clients with differing needs and to adjust to changing circumstances.

They have a good knowledge of local health provision and will liaise with providers on the client's behalf.

Generally very good - and certainly made us aware of health issues etc. team were always very friendly with us when we visited. A couple of carers exceptionally good eg helped us when things got very tricky .
There were a couple of times we were disappointed with the way food was presented to mum which did not help her reluctant eating . Early on we were perhaps disappointed that team did not help mum more with rehab eg exercises , getting her cooking and gardening ( we know that later it would not have been possible)

Sometimes a bit frustrated with some charges eg bank holiday rates!

We starting using Guardian for some two years plus up to May 2024, having switched to them from another company who we found to be increasingly less user friendly. Guardian were always excellent to deal with, had good staff allocated to us, and were always contactable to change arrangements, and dealt with all efficiently particularly towards the end of our using them when needs increased somewhat.

Its hard to generalise as all carers are pleasant and friendly, looking after me well. But some have to be reminded if - To clear up in the kitchen if I have spilt something, to make sure the door to the big passage is closed at night as it is alarmed, to sort out its relevant sections in the cutlery drawer.

Guardian Angels provide an outstanding provision of care for our mother, who has Alzheimer's Dementia and is bedridden. Carers are professional, efficient, engage in friendly conversation and really do 'care'. They provide an excellent level of support for Mum by ensuring all needs are met (whatever they might be). Guardian Angels are reliable, trustworthy and frequently go above and beyond expectations. Like us; they want the best for our Mum.
Administrative support is also excellent, responding promptly and efficiently with any queries we have.

Massive thank you to everyone, our mother (and family) simply couldn't manage without you. The carers really are 'angels', it's reassuring to know Mum is in your safe hands.

I live alone and following my hip replacement, Guardian Angel carers looked after me for over four weeks in twice-daily visits. They were always on time, very friendly, versatile, efficient, and overall, the service they provided was all I could have wished for.

The 48 visits were covered by some dozen carers, which was fine by me as they were all very good and each brought a new personality with them! I can appreciate that other clients might wish for such regular visits to involve fewer different carers. However, all those visiting me were excellent although, as is to be expected, some were perhaps a touch more excellent than others.

Reply from Tim Corry, Manager at Guardian Angel Carers - Farnham

Thank you for your appreciation of our amazing team. We always strive for continuity but that's not always possible for short-term packages of care such as this. However, we are proud to offer the flexibility to cover all needs, whether long or short-term.

Having recently experienced a hip replacement I arranged for two weeks of assistance with washing and dressing upon my discharge from hospital. Without exception the carers provided by Guardian Angels were professional and friendly. The schedule of carers and timings provided via email in advance was accurate and each carer arrived as scheduled. My experience with Guardian Angels was very positive, particularly in the context of other care agencies I experienced when looking after my elderly parents.

My father-in-law had lived on his own for the past fifteen years as a proudly independent man. After two hospital stays and rapidly deteriorating health, he reluctantly agreed to help from Guardian Angel Carers. He soon came to realise how amazing their carers are, from taking time to talk to him, cleaning the areas he had missed, helping to prepare meals and most importantly making him smile. Fabulous company.

Guardian Angel Carers served my mum and dad really well for a year and a half before Dad needed a nursing home after a stroke, due to limited space at home and more carer needs, and Mum didn't want to be apart from him. The few issues we had over that time (mostly not the fault of Guardian Angel Carers) were sorted out quickly and professionally. I found the staff very friendly, helpful and patient in listening to me during hard times with Mum. I would definitely recommend this care agency, and loved the directors' assurance (as ex-military officers) that 'If we can do it, we will make it happen, whatever it takes.'.

Meet the Team (13)

Tim Corry Job Title: Director / Registered Manager Joined: 2021
Tim Corry

Tim Corry is passionate about helping the community and feels privileged to do that here in Farnham, where he lives with his wife Beth, and two children.

He served 12 and half years in the Royal Air Force, where he was an Officer and Chinook pilot. During his tenure, he learnt a great deal about determination and the tenacity to succeed. His service in the RAF took him around the world, including multiple operational tours. It is this experience, as well as teaching in South America after University that embedded his strong sense of community. When he finished in the RAF, he took the natural career path to become a commercial airline pilot.

Tim came to Home Care during the pandemic through re-engaging as a volunteer in the local community. He took time to re-assess his career and realised that the raison d’etre of service is embedded in his DNA and is his motivation. It’s why he and Alex decided to take the step to become franchise co-owners of the Guardian Angel Carers Farnham branch.

He also reflected on his elderly relatives’ care, including his grandfather, who was fiercely independent and able to remain in his own home until he was 96. It highlighted how well-being and quality of life are so important and led to him wanting to support other people to maintain this.

Tim is versatile, determined and organised – bringing both empathy and consideration to all he does. As he sets out on this new journey, he is looking forward to using all his skills to give-back, feel rewarded, and make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Alex Duncan Job Title: Director Joined: 2021
Alex Duncan

Alex has lived and worked near Farnham for 17 years. He loves it here with his wife Alison, his two boys Guy and Max and their three dogs. He enjoys spending time kickboxing, playing football with his sons, walking the dogs in the countryside and tinkering with cars.

He served in the Royal Air Force for 18 years, predominantly from RAF Odiham. Alex was deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan on operational tours during his service. He’s proud to have been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Force Cross for leadership in the air.

Leadership is something that Alex has gained recognition for, commanding a Squadron during his time in the RAF. Although not a Squadron, he is hugely looking forward to working with the Farnham Home Care branch team to inspire and serve the community. His ethos and communication skills will be a great addition, alongside his rapid decision-making skills, and excellent sense of prioritisation across multiple business areas.

A people person, Alex strongly believes in a client-centred approach to Home Care for a fulfilling, and happy life with care. He also sees that families are finding they can’t care for loved ones as much as they want in today’s busy world and society. To help, he views technology as not just an enabler for safety and efficiency but a way to improve the family links – to ensure the family can be remotely involved in their loved ones care.

Alex’s strong sense of community is clear, and co-owning Guardian Angel Carers home care Farnham branch, will allow him to give back and continue to serve by its side.
