I met a staff member from Genesees Care whilst comparing 3 different local care providers.


Having already seen 2 companies I thought my mind was made up, however during my 1st meeting with this member of staff I found that his approach and genuine appreciation of a family's care needs really resonated.

He had a great answer for every question so much so that I almost thought that the responses were too good and not possible to deliver. That said, I changed my mind from my original selection & decided to work with this staff member & his team to see if they could really live up to the promises made.


All I can say is that from the point of engagement they did not disappoint.


We started with weekend & lunch time cover with an existing private carer (who subsequently introduced Genesees to some of her other clients) & moved in to full time live in care.


Eventually we moved my father to residential care, but the care and support provided by Genesees were exemplary & almost 50% cheaper than my 1st choice. Bravo!!!

Genesees have done a brilliant job looking after my Dad. He declined to have carers for a long time and furiously turned them away. However, Genesees have worked hard to establish a good relationship with him and help my dad to know that he still has control over his situation. Recently, my dad was
very unwell, and the fantastic care manager was very responsive to quickly review him and put in more frequent care calls as soon as possible. Carers are friendly, polite, and professional. Well done Genesees

The care we received was always good, and any issues were addressed quickly. Very easy to talk to senior management and team do care about their clients. No visit was ever missed and if for any reason they may be delayed they would let their client know, I am happy to recommend to family and friends.

All the carers are very nice and kind some are more helpful that others. Some will stay the full 20 minutes others are in and out in 5 minutes. The main problem I have is the language barrier. Some of them speak almost no English, although they are very nice, I am unable to communicate with them.

Since we started using Genesees they have been excellent. More than one member of our family is registered disabled with needs slightly different for each but nothing is too much trouble. Genesees are flexible and caring and treat it as assisting us instead of 'doing things for us'. They are easy to
communicate with and deal with in general. I have no problem in recommending them as they have been a great support to us throughout. Most importantly the staff are genuine and understanding.

My dear neighbour was cared for by the carers of Genesees Care. The team were amazing, treating her with kindness and respecting her dignity. I can’t express enough how amazing all the team at Genesees are - they go above and beyond with their care. They were our grandmother's carers, and she adored them, as did we as a family. They made her life better with their positive, friendly and caring personalities. They were there at the end of
the phone right up until our grandmother sadly passed away. I would recommend them to any family looking for help with their loved ones; they really are angels.

Genesees Care originally started coming in for half an hour a day funded by the NHS to treat my nanny's skin condition on her legs. Having carers coming into her home was never going to be easy but very quickly Nan grew a great relationship with the carer who initially started the visits and then the
two other carers. Unfortunately in time Nan's health started to deteriorate and she was having regular falls, we as a family decided to fund ourselves more care with these lovely people. Genesis Care started then doing visits three times a day. Nan loved them coming in, first thing in the morning to get her up, give her medication and make her breakfast, then lunchtime to do her lunch and then back again early even for dinner and bedtime routine. For us as a family to have someone going in to care for Nan who she liked and felt comfortable with was a huge relief. We cannot thank the team enough for everything they have done! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for home care.

The carers that look after my wife have been brilliant. They are kind and careful at all times. They care about her dignity and are always very respectful when they are looking after her. They are always on time and seem very happy to be here, this makes a huge difference to us. The night time care
is also brilliant, we cannot fault it all. The carers take time to listen to my wife and look after her needs.

Genesees have proved excellent in all respects. The carers have been capable, understanding, efficient and hard-working and have built good empathy with my mother. They have handled a couple of crises with calm action and compassion. Genesees have been very flexible in matching their service to the
evolving needs of my mother, increasing and reducing cover as required and offering excellent advice on the level of cover needed (including where this was a reduction). I would thoroughly recommend Genesees.

The management and staff are very friendly, caring, compassionate and very dignified. They are so supportive when we are having a bad day. If I need them to stay with my husband they are always reliable and able.
We feel as though they are part of our family. They always make sure that they talk to
him about things that he likes, they treat him as a person, not an object. Which is very important for him as he is disabled.
The communication is first class.
