My friend, who is bedridden, with many disabilities and health issues, has been cared for by Assured Care since leaving respite care. My friend's brain injury has left him with challenging behaviour as well as memory issues and high physical needs. Assured Care have gone above and beyond their remit. My friend is in a truly awful situation, being mentally able but physically almost helpless. His carers have done their utmost to give him the best quality of life possible in his situation. They genuinely care. They've also been very supportive to me, an unpaid carer/friend, they've helped me negotiate the complexities of domiciliary care. They have also been our friends. In what is, by any measure, a truly shit situation, they've provided excellent care and much laughter, which is as much appreciated as the actual care. They have treated my friend and myself as people and have done their very best to keep my friend safe, comfortable, cared for and human.
