Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.722 for Helping Hands Home Care (Darlington) is calculated as follows: ( (40 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 54 Ratings = 4.722
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Helping Hands Home Care (Darlington) is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 4.7
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Branch Care Manager

About me

Hi, my name is Annemarie and I’m the Branch Manager for Helping Hands Darlington.

I was raised in the British Army and lived in Germany until I was 11 when as a family we moved to the Northeast of England.

After a brief stint working abroad, I have spent nearly all my adult life working in Health and Social care; I wouldn’t want to do anything else as there is no other feeling like making a positive difference in a person’s life!
As a Branch Manager, my responsibility is to oversee the overall running of the branch. This includes carer recruitment, carer training, completing assessments for new customers and compliance with all local and national legislation and ensuring I meet the fundamental standards set out by CQC.

Experience and expertise

I have worked in Health and Social care for over 20 years and have over 15 years of management experience. I began my career as a support worker and have worked in many other roles including Home Manager and Regional Manager. My responsibilities have included staff management, compliance, and working with local authorities to mobilise new services.

Over my career, I have been lucky enough to be able to complete numerous qualifications, including NVQ Level 3/4 and Leadership and Management at Level 5.

Why I chose Helping Hands

I joined Helping Hands in February 2021 and the reason I joined is based on their history. I love the fact that the organisation is still family-led. Another of the reasons I joined Helping Hands is that their foundation is based on kindness for customers and staff alike! It is amazing to see how valued our customers and staff are. My goal is to grow and develop the Darlington Helping Hands branch so we can deliver excellent quality of care, supporting people to live independently in their own homes.
