I use helping hands care for my mum who has Alzheimer's and I can honestly not fault the services or the care they provide in any way.

All the carers who attend to my mum during visits are wonderful!! Kind, caring, compassionate and always professional, they have genuinely had a very positive impact on my mum's wellbeing. The care they provide is second to none, adapting to my mums needs on a daily basis, taking pressure off my dad and giving him some well earned respite. The office girls are fantastic too making booking my mum' s slots for visits a painless task. They also keep me up to date with Rota's with who will be attending for my mums visits and keep me informed of anything they think I should be made aware of. Again, the girls in the office are super professional, very attentive to my mums needs and also really flexible which makes sorting appointments out a breeze. I would recommend Helping Hands to anyone in a similar situation. They are worth every penny and more!!!

Helping Hands are brilliant . They've been caring for my mum for the last month or so. Lovely carers who are very friendly and my mum has said how chatty they all are, as my mum loves a good chat ! They will do anything my mum asks. No problem at all in setting the arrangement up . Lovely lady came round to the house to meet myself and my mum and all was put in place. We asked for early morning call (9am ish) as this is when mum would need more support in helping her with breakfast or even supporting in dressing if needed . Nothing is too much trouble . Rotas are sent out a week in advance so my mum knows the carer who it'll be and the time they will be there.
Would highly recommend .

Thanks so much x

My brother has been using helping hands for live in care since he came out of a care home. Using this type of care package allowed him to actually get home.
He gets 24 hour care from genuine, helpful careers and I get the reassurance he is safe and well looked after.

Can't praise them enough.

Helping Hands carers are the best. They are well trained and always work hard throughout every session. They do their best to communicate with my mum and make her feel safe. They can be relied upon to follow the plan regarding medication. I recommend this company.

Service has declined as helping hands don't listen or respond to emails.

We have asked for a change in times and more consistent communication which has never materialised. Staff often late don't stay full duration of allotted times.

Helping Hands looked after my dad for a year and now are providing care for my mum, they are excellent from the administration to the staff. The people they employ are so lovely they always make time to chat and nothing is too much trouble. The individuals who provide care use their own initiative which is perfect when you're not used to employing people to help at home. My mum looks forward to them coming and their cheerful demeanour and caring without patronising has helped her to have a more positive attitude since she came out of hospital. Communication and time keeping is also very good.

Helping hands in Wigan have been looking after my mother in law for the past few years. Whilst this is not a regular service, they have covered our holidays and short term needs which has meant we are able to have peace of mind that she is in good hands.
The management team are approachable, friendly and very accommodating.
The carers they use are always prompt, caring, professional and provide an excellent level of care.
Most importantly, my mother in law really enjoys their company too!

Thank you.

Overall the service has been really good, the carers are realible, very friendly and on time. I feel confident with the level of care provided for my stepdad and Helping Hands are a vast improvement on the previous care agency that we had in place. If I have any concerns or queries, these are usually dealt with promptly by the team - either by the office-based team or the carers themselves. It is useful to receive the weekly rota so that my Stepdad has an idea of who is coming. Generally, we are very satified with the service.

Ever since we brought Helping Hands in to provide care for my aunt, initially for evenings only, but in June this year we transferred all her care needs to them - morning, lunch, tea and evening. This has proved beneficial for her and for the people, family and friends who interact with her.
Helping Hands are professional, courteous, friendly and caring. My aunt currently has 4 hrs a day with them and it has been a big improvement on what we had before. If you booked them for an hour, they stay the hour, which is what we want and more importantly what she is paying for.

Overall, I highly recommend anybody in the Wigan postcode to use this office and its staff, they are first class and nothing is too much trouble when visiting/caring for my aunt.

A genuine lifesaver.

Helping Hands Wigan has been an absolute godsend for our family. Their flexibility is second to none-nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and they've always managed to adapt around our ever-changing needs without fuss or fanfare. That kind of responsiveness is rare and invaluable.

They're incredibly easy to get hold of-communication is always prompt, clear, and kind, which, in moments of stress or when you're juggling a thousand things, makes the world of difference.

But more than anything, it's the human touch that sets Helping Hands apart. Warm, capable, and quietly reassuring-they don't just "do the job," they care. And when life throws its inevitable curveballs, having that kind of support feels like a hand on your shoulder.

I honestly don't know what we'd have done without them.

Within 1 month of contracting with Helping Hands to care for and give support to our brother, we could see the difference the care team brought. The carers are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for the management team for every additional request we have made.
The carers are respectful, really efficient and genuinely get to know our brothers needs.

After 12 months with Helping Hands we would highly recommend them they are head & shoulders ahead of other care providers we have used. Yes slightly more expensive than others but the increased value is worth the quality of care given

Excellent service, happy with all the carers and support staff. My mum feels relaxed and happy with everyone who's been over to see her. Communications have been good and we get the rotas before the sessions start each week, a few appointments have been delayed due to staff absence but we fully understand why.

Mum has been receiving care from Helping Hands Home Care for 6 months now and we honestly can't fault them. The rota we get each week is really good so mum knows who to expect and what time they are coming. Each and every carer seems to genuinely care and is willing to do anything mum asks, even just walking her up the road for some fresh air or sitting having a chat. It gives me peace of mind knowing that mum is happy with her carers and has no complaints.
