We have used Proper Home Care since Feb 2025 to provide care for our elderly mother. Throughout this period, the service has been consistently positive. The caregivers demonstrated compassion and attentiveness, prioritising our mother's comfort and safety at all times. The staff exhibited a high level of professionalism & responded promptly & clearly to any queries, utilising both a dedicated app & a social media messaging group for communication. They ensured transparency regarding any requirements or adjustments in care, enabling us to stay informed & act swiftly when necessary. Regrettably, our mother passed away at home a few weeks ago, a setting she expressed as her preference. During this time, the team collaborated effectively with the palliative care professionals to maintain her comfort. The support extended to family members was exceptional, & we are sincerely appreciative of their efforts. We would confidently recommend Proper Home Care Ltd to others seeking a home care service.

The service began very efficiently and my mother was very happy with the initial carers who came and then both carers were replaced by another who is a pleasant lady but not as enthusiastic or self-motivated, it would have been helpful to know that they had been replaced or to be informed when they will return.

I contacted Proper Home Care Ltd, my 87-year-old dad just needed an hour a day, just to check in on him while I was on holiday, what a great service, will definitely use this company again, peace of mind for me to know my dad is being checked on, great service great price, will never stress again about leaving him, thanks again,

I highly recommend this care agency to anyone looking to provide care for their loved ones. Communication with the owner has always been very positive. Staff are very polite and courteous. Having previously dealt with another care agency and having a bad experience, I wasn't sure what to expect when I first approached them. But I am very pleased with the way things are done. It's very professional and I have confidence in recommending it to others.

Excellent service all round, staff are fantastic with you. Timekeeping is very good, the clients are really very happy with them, the way they were trained and the complete assistance they give to old and infirm clients. Removal of garments, washing, showering, drying and creaming etc. Redressing, treated with dignity. Will make breakfast, dinner, tea-time and supper which is a complete help. Any job asked for them is not too big.

Excellent service, staff are very professional, kind, friendly and obliging. Cannot fault anything at all. Very thorough. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Very observant of clients' health.

Well what can I say... this company do not care about your well being, just money. Most of the 'carers' do not know how to prepare a sandwich or toast let alone a meal, most are from abroad... cheap labour who haven't a clue what bread is! Believe me I've been there and lost weight through Proper Homecare, they were always late for my am call with no apology, please ignore the promises on their website because it doesn't last! A male carer made a pass at me and nothing was done, he still works for them. Proper Homecare is far from proper as they are always, and I mean always, short staffed! Go with them but you've been warned.

I feel my son is safe and happy in the company of his carers.

As a newcomer to this firm, I found the staff to be friendly, caring, attentive to details and very helpful. I felt that there was a noticeable improvement in my welfare and care from my previous experience. I have no hesitation in recommending others to experience this firm.

Following a really stressful experience with the care agency I was using, we came across Proper Home Care and decided to call and see what they were all about. From the very first meeting, I felt relaxed and reassured by their ethos of what care should be. The service they provide is very professional, always punctual, respectful and caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble and can be relied on to know what needs to be done. I was in a very bad place both physically and emotionally before I called Proper Home Care, but with their support, encouragement and kindness, I have been able to move forward and reclaim some normality in my life. A full-on five-star service from the Proper team. At midday, on the day mom was discharged from hospital the Proper team were on site with full-on advice and care. Never late, a full service and care package was delivered with precision. Can’t fault the team and their commitment to the services they provide. First class, top draw.
