Ken started in the care sector in 1988 when he opened his first care home. Since then he has owned and operated award-winning care environments before launching his first domiciliary care service, Home Care Preferred.
Since Home Care Preferred started in 2012 the company has gone from strength to strength. During the steady growth, the focus has always been on striving towards an excellent standard of care and delivering a highly personal service.
Even after over 35 years in the sector Ken still finds the most rewarding aspect of his job receiving lovely letters, emails and calls from clients and team members paying compliments to the company and the culture that has been developed.
When not working Ken enjoys time with family and friends. His long list of interests includes music, cinema, reading, playing squash, walking, cycling, comedy and current affairs.
Emma worked at Home Care Preferred in Winchmore Hill for several years before joining Home Care Preferred in St. Albans in 2022.
Emma works in the office supporting finance, quality assurance, customer enquiries, administration and much more.
Being part of a friendly company that helps people to stay happily in their own homes makes Emma's position very enjoyable.
In her spare time, Emma loves to spend time with her family and friends. She leads a busy life outside of work with numerous interests.
Julie started work in the care sector in 2001. She was a neonatal screener working in Audiology and then spent several years in various roles in children’s services before moving to provide support to older people
Julie has worked at Home Care Preferred for over 9 years and is an integral and valued member of the team.
Pam started to work in the health sector in 2020. Her first introduction to care was working for Home Care Preferred as a care assistant. She excelled from the beginning with compliments from clients and colleagues.
She went to University in Brazil and graduated as a graphic designer. She is also a qualified Pilates instructor.
In February 2024 Pam was promoted to team leader, a post she loves.
Dennisse is originally from Brazil but lived in Spain before settling in London.
She is an experienced, competent and kind health care professional.
Dennisse has worked with Home Care Preferred for many years and is a great asset to the company.
