If you're considering a care company for your loved ones then I highly recommend District. The level of care my mum received from the carers was exceptional and at times they would go the extra mile. The management team are on call all the time and are available for any queries or concerns. My mum sadly
passed away, but they were with her and my family right up to the end. I have experienced a variety of care providers and have worked in the care sector as well and there are what should I say less favourable ones to be used or work for. Couldn't thank them enough for helping me with my mum if she could she would have thanked you.

My mum was very much against having carers in her home, but after being discharged from hospital, my sister and I knew we needed help with Mum. We persuaded Mum to give it a chance. Along came District Healthcare, they listened to us as a family and to Mum and her needs. From management down to the
carers, they were all amazing! Mum had a special team of carers, she saw the same few throughout. The carers got to know Mum very well and Mum actually looked forward to their visits. Mum trusted them and their honesty. Her needs changed as she became more poorly but her care team adapted appropriately. Mum's carers had a special place in her heart, something we never thought would happen. Unfortunately, Mum passed away but I know Mum would want us to say a massive thanks to you all who cared for her, nothing was too much trouble, you always remained professional, thoughtful, caring and compassionate. Thank you too from us as a family, you are all Angels.

District Healthcare visited my dad (who has vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s) twice a day for almost a year. The care, support and reliability they have supplied cannot be faulted, the carers have been amazing with our dad. During this difficult time, Dad was made to feel at ease with the carers and
even looked forward to seeing them which was a lovely surprise for us as Dad wasn’t doing well with strangers. This is testament to their ability to make clients feel very comfortable on their visits. We will very much miss seeing the team as over this past year they have become like an extended family. My sister and I cannot thank District Healthcare enough for the care and compassion they have shown our family. We would highly recommend their services. Thank you Manager and team.

My grandparent had previously received care for around 18 months from this care provider. She always had a regular team who truly cared. Nothing was too much trouble. My granny had these amazing carers right through until her passing. Her end of life care was amazing, the carers looked after my gran
and extended the care to us making sure we had everything we needed. Although it was a very difficult time, the carers never failed to make us smile and provide excellent care to our gran.
The management team were always in contact, even when my gran passed the manager came over to support the carers and us as a family. We never liked the thought of care as you do hear some horror stories. This company not only gave us the reassurance that our gran was being looked after, they also restored our faith that there are good companies out there. Not only have we lost our gran, we have also lost what we would consider friends and angels.

They turn up late every day then they pulled out of providing my care package one evening, leaving me with no care going forward, despite promising when they handed the package back that they would continue to provide care until a new provider was found.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.250)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.250) out of 10 for District Healthcare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for District Healthcare is calculated as follows: ( (22 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 22 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for District Healthcare is based on 4 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 = 4.25
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
