On the whole, excellent service. Very caring and respectful

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.
Following 3 major strokes I have used 3 care companies, Meadows, I have found are by far the best. My condition has deteriorated over the past 3 years and of course my needs changed and carers have changed. However, over the course of 3 years I have only ever complained about 3 people. Considering they wash/shower, feed me etc. They put up with my moaning re pain and chat about anything. Most importantly we laugh!
The care team have been aware that your needs have changed and have adapted your care and support to ensure these changing needs are met. Having supported you for over three years, we have truly got to know you, and we understand how much pain can...

When my mum changed to Meadows Home Care from another provider the difference in her was very noticeable. She is very happy with the care provided. Everyone we have dealt with from the company have been helpful and Mum's wishes were always put first when sorting out her care plan.
Thank you for your lovely words, we enjoy visiting your mum and she seems much happier since we have started visiting.

Meet the Team (2)
Deborah started her journey in care 9 years ago after caring for her Nan. Deborah could see that good care can make a difference to someone, whether it be in a Care Home or their home. Deborah knewthat after doing this, she wanted to be able to support other people to live a fulfilling life.
Deborah started as a carer and enjoyed being able to support people to be as independent as possible, and wanted to progress. This was so she could help others come into this role and make a difference. Deborah is now a manager of the Community Service at Southend Care and is fully focused on helping people on this journey.
Deborah enjoys her role and the ability to support both a care team and individuals. Deborah feels that if she can make a difference to one person a day, she knows she is doing a good job. She is passionate about delivering care centred on a person‘s individual needs and being able to support them to remain in their own homes. Having worked within a Reablement Service and then a Domiciliary Service, she has seen how both can have a positive impact on someone’s Mental and Physical Health.
In Deborah’s spare time, she enjoys having friends and family over and enjoys cooking for them, whether it's a BBQ or a meal. Deborah likes to see smiling faces and people having a good time. Her family are my greatest support, and she enjoys spending quality time with them.
I started employment with Southend Care Ltd as a Community Carer in July 2022, and have now progressed within my career to a Field Care Supervisor.
In my role as a Field Care Supervisor, I support the Southend Discharge Service, Reablement and our private homecare service, Meadows Home Care. I also support the City Council with our Provider of Last Resort Service. I ensure our community carers are supported by making myself available to them so they never feel alone or unsupported in their role.
Through the support of management and the team, I have been able to progress in my career at Southend Care and am now being supported to undertake my NVQ Level 4.
Southend Care prides itself on helping others, including those living in the community, but also its staff, helping them to progress and feel confident in their role.
We have a saying, 'one service, one team,' and I can honestly say we do work to this. If someone is unsure of something, the response will be 'if you are unsure, then let's complete it together until you are ready to complete this independently.
I am looking forward to completing my NVQ Level 4, and I know that I will have the support from my tutor, but also from my manager and colleagues.
