As a care charity, we have an unwavering commitment to providing high-quality care while ensuring the safety, dignity, and respect of our front-line workers. Our staff work tirelessly to support those in need, and we will not tolerate any form of racism, discrimination, or abuse directed towards them.Due to repeated incidents of racism against our staff, we have made the difficult decision to cease providing care in this particular situation. This decision reflects our commitment to protecting our workers and upholding the values of respect and equality that are central to our organisation.
Hi, I am so sorry for the above issues however I need to address them on our behalf. In regards to the 24hr no care, one of carers did attend on both occasions however nobody was in the property at the time and there was no key safe nor any answer from next of kin contacted. This was taken from our carer reports and documented on systems. I am aware on Easter weekend there was an issue with call times being close and all of these issues were rectified by the office, this being due to high levels of staff sickness at the time. We have not had any report of the phone issues however as you have now raised it we will look into this, also the office and on call is always available if phones are inaccessible.
I am sorry again for your experience however I must say all the issues have been addressed by the team. Your father's care is our utmost priority and any issues will also be rectified on the day where possible.
We are so sorry you feel this way and there have been issues regarding the service provided to your daughter. As a care charity your daughter's wellbeing is our utmost priority and I believe about some of the issues you mention such as ‘overdosing’ this was not with our organisation and is an allegation to the company who provided your daughter's care prior to April 4th.
As you know, there is an ongoing concern issue within your daughter’s call relating to an individual who has been within your daughter’s property whilst our carers attend the call. Our priority is the safety of your daughter and the safety of our carers which has been raised to yourself. We have spoken on the phone and a member of the team has also spoken with your daughter.
Our carers have a fond relationship with your daughter and want to provide the best service possible.

Hi, my name is Rachael I have been working in care for over 15 years and began my career within the residential sector. I have been working for Caring Connections for over 4 years in which I myself have provided front line care and worked my way through the structure to now be an Area director. My passion is ensuring people get the best care delivered by the best carers. I love my job and working in social care. I am proud to work for a charity that does so much for our local communities.
My name is Claire, and I started with Caring Connections, Wigan branch, on the very first day the company started.
I have worked my way up from Care support worker to registered manager of the branch.
I have been in the care sector for 25 years from leaving college to present, with only career gaps when I had my girls.
My motto to all carers is to treat all clients as they would expect their loved ones to be treated with dignity and respect.
Hi, I'm Jurgita. I am the branch's care quality coordinator. I started out as a care support worker in 2022, moved up to senior, and now work in the office ensuring care plans are up to scratch and that our clients are receiving the higher quality care they deserve!
I am also the branch's wellbeing officer and certified moving and handling key mover!
Hi, I'm Lillie. I started in March 2023 as a care support worker and I have moved up through the company to senior care support worker to now being the branch's rota coordinator.
As a Rota Coordinator for Caring Connections, my role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of care services. I am responsible for creating and managing staff schedules, making sure that the right carers are matched with clients based on their needs, preferences, and continuity of care. This involves constant communication with both care staff and clients, adapting rotas in response to changes such as staff sickness, holiday requests, or urgent care needs. My job requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve quickly under pressure. Ultimately, I play a vital part in maintaining a high standard of care for our elderly clients, helping them feel safe, supported, and valued in their own homes.
