I’m the Co-Ordinator for our Newport service. I started with ND care and support back in 2019 as a care worker. I progressed to a Field Care Supervisor in 2020 working mainly in the community. I really enjoyed this role as it allowed me to meet individuals with a multitude of needs unique to them. This provided me with a holistic view which enabled me to create person-centred care plans. I am now the Care Co-Ordinator for Newport and I’m looking forward to growing this service with a strong team of carers with me.
Casey has experience in caring in the community. She is devoted to providing an excellent standard of care and is willing to go above and beyond for all. Despite being fairly new to the care industry, she is currently in the process of completing her MSc degree in physics. Casey hopes that one day she will be able to make advancements in biophysics and create amelioration in medical technology. Casey is motivated and excited for her journey and has big ambitions for the service; with the amazing team surrounding her this progress is inevitable.
Hi, I'm Emma, my role is Field Care Supervisor for Newport and Caerphilly. I started as a carer with New Directions Care and Support in 2022. Following on from my employment I had managed to move up to a Field Care Supervisor. I really enjoy my role that I am in as it allows me to connect with the services users and allowing them to voice all their own wishes and needs for me to document for all the care staff that will attend the calls. Also, allowing me to interact with the care staff and helping them become confident in the job role. I also have a great office team behind me and I look forward to growing our service together as a branch.
Hi, I'm Leah, Field care supervisor for Caerphilly & Newport. I began my journey with ND Care and Support in February 2024 as a care worker, primarily providing support within the community. In April 2024, I was proud to receive a promotion, which has allowed me to take on additional responsibilities and further develop my skills.
I truly enjoy my role, as each day presents new learning opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Despite my promotion, I continue to work closely alongside both care workers and service users, which helps me stay grounded and connected to the heart of our work. It genuinely feels like being part of a family—supportive, collaborative, and deeply rewarding.
I became a domiciliary carer when I was 19 years old, and from then I worked as a support worker for almost 10 years, I then progressed to admin assistant and then to a recruitment consultant.
The best part of my job is seeing all the successful candidates start their journey in care and becoming amazing care and support workers.
When I am not working, I enjoy working out at the gym, keeping fit and healthy. I also like to make wax melts in my spare time.
