Neways at Home - Home care & Live-in care services is a family run and CQC regulated service with family values at the heart of everything they do. They focus on finding "New Ways" to improve the quality of life for clients and prevent people from feeling isolated and lonely.

They were born from a small care home in Weymouth, Chestnuts Residential Home. With over 35 years of providing quality residential care, specialising in Dementia – they have developed a wonderful reputation and a much-valued service in the community.

Before they start, clients needs and preferences are thoroughly assessed at their home which allows the team to design a highly-personalised care plan. Care is delivered in a way that respects both client's dignity and independence, as well as providing emotional support.

The most important question during the staff recruitment is – does this potential member of staff have a good heart? Trusted carers go through trainings, shadow shifts and regular competency assessments to ensure they are confident to look after the clients like their families.

Why they are different?
1. Free & no obligation care assessment at client's home.
2. 24/7 helpline to support clients at any time.
3. Carers are carefully matched and introductions are done well before delivering care.
4. Clients receive the full time that they pay for, as carers travel in their own time.
5. Registered Manager has 15+ years of experience in elderly and dementia care in community

Very pleased with the care my mum is receiving. A competent, professional service catering for my mum's needs. When alterations to the care required have been needed, they have been carried out with the minimum of fuss and bureaucracy.

I am so glad I found this agency, as they have provided an excellent service caring for my Mum with advanced Parkinson's. We have been using Neways at Home since last September, and they have adapted to suit my Mum's changing care needs. She now requires multiple visits a day, and it's so reassuring
to know I have carers I can rely on, as I don't live locally. They have provided reassurance to my parents and go above and beyond. They always contact me with any concerns, and I know I can speak to someone at any time. I really can't recommend them enough.
Reply from Tracy Ward, Wellbeing Coordinator at Neways at Home (Home Care & Live-in Care)Thank you for such an in-depth review – it’s a great recommendation. There were a lot of changes in the care package, but we were able to support them. Specialist care eg (Parkinson’s) is always demanding, and family support and good communication are vital. You have always supported us with prompt and proactive communications and provided feedback about our services. Many thanks for listening to our advice and recommendations.

Neways at Home has cared for both my mum and dad for several months. Both of my parents have had medical problems and the carers have been both very careful and astute when there has been a change or a problem concerning their health or well-being. I have never had any trouble contacting them and they
have been flexible and supportive, especially in the last couple of weeks when it became obvious that my mum, who was terminally ill, didn't have long to live.
Reply from Tracy Ward, Wellbeing Coordinator at Neways at Home (Home Care & Live-in Care)Thank you for such a great, five-star review. We understand it’s struggling times and hope things will move on. We are happy that we could help your Mum and Dad, and they were a pleasure to work with. You have always listened to our advice and recommendations - many thanks for this.

Thank you to all the lovely ladies who attended and assisted my mother following her broken arm and a subsequent further short stay in the hospital, after which it became clear that an increased level of assistance was required. We were impressed by the team's prompt attention to our changing circumstances
and requirements. The carers have been professional, efficient and friendly throughout. Due to changing circumstances yet again, my parents have moved to a care home but we are very pleased with the support provided these last few months.
Reply from Tracy Ward, Wellbeing Coordinator at Neways at Home (Home Care & Live-in Care)Thank you for the lovely five-star in-depth review. We understand a lot of things have happened in the short duration which needed to change and accommodate the care to meet the situation. Happy that we could offer care and support for a short time. Many thanks for listening to us.

We have been using Neways at Home for weekly home visits for a couple of months and have been very impressed with the level of care, and the quality of company they have all provided to my dad. It is a lifeline for him to have visitors who look after his personal care, and provide a midday meal and
much-needed stimulation and conversation. It is also a lifeline allowing me to leave the house for work for one day a week knowing Dad is in safe hands. Thank you to all who have been involved both in the initial setup and the weekly visits.
Reply from Tracy Ward, Wellbeing Coordinator at Neways at Home (Home Care & Live-in Care)Thank you for the lovely review. We really appreciate this. We were really stuck for getting additional care and respite care for my mum, who has vascular dementia in November 2022.
Neways came up trumps with a great care package in mid-January 2023, and the manager, as well as the staff, have been brilliant.
They listen, advise, plan and then adapted what
we needed as a care package to assist me as the main carer. I was doing ridiculous hours supporting my mum on top of paying her household bills, organising care, shopping, gardening etc. The burden Neways has lifted off my shoulders is greatly appreciated, and my mum gets on well with the carers!
The carers treat Mum well and let me know if there are any concerns.
Would highly recommend the manager and her team.
Reply from Tracy Ward, Wellbeing Coordinator at Neways at Home (Home Care & Live-in Care)Thank you so much for the five-star review. We really appreciate this. We are glad we could support your mum so you are relieved from the daily care activities. Your mum is a pleasure to spend time with. Many thanks for listening and understanding our advice and recommendations – which is very important when planning and delivering care at home for people with dementia.

In the short time the carers visited our home I was most impressed with all who attended to my husband, giving him great personal care, treating him with dignity and respect, being reliable, patient, friendly, chatting and getting to know him, bringing out his humour. The carers were all clean and well-presented.
Top marks on personal hygiene. They became our friends too and were a pleasure to have in our home, hence it was hugs all around when they finished as my husband needed to into a care home.

A very big thank you to your team and particularly to the excellent carers who treated my mum with great kindness, respect and patience. Despite her reluctance to have carers in her home, mum soon accepted them and enjoyed their company. They made contact with me when concerned and responded appropriately
to emergencies. I would not hesitate to recommend Neways to anyone looking for homecare.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.922 for Neways at Home (Home Care & Live-in Care) is calculated as follows: ( (85 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 90 Ratings = 4.922
