Overall Experience
We appointed Bluebird care after a very negative experience with another service provider. They were kind and considerate when we explained the previous negative experience with the other care company and did everything possible to ensure a smooth handover.
The care my dad has received has been wonderful, the reliability and punctuality of the carers has been excellent with any expected delays communicated in a timely manner.

My only comment would be that my dad has a mixture of different carers attending daily which has made developing rapport and relationships a little difficult. All the carers however are kind, compassionate and considerate and always prepared to help however they can. So far we are very happy with bluebird and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Overall Experience

I have been very impressed by Bluebird Homecare since my first contact with them. They were easy to contact and sign up with, the manager who did the initial assessment with my dad was great and really put him at his ease as well as communicating regularly with me. My dad has the same carer coming every morning and she also developed a good relationship with my dad really quickly. She has also contacted me direct with any concerns and been clear that she is very happy for me to contact her direct with any worries. I have had less positive experiences with other companies but I'm very happy with the service that Bluebird have provided so far. It has been a great comfort to me. The costs are also reasonable.

My mum is coming up to her 90th birthday always been independent but felt needed a little care on a daily basis can't stress how good the carers are happy to do anything and most importantly my mum had a fall and her falls alarm failed her but her carer arrived made her comfortable called us and an ambulance and stayed with her til we got there

We chose Bluebird Homecare as we had a bad experience with another Agent. At first was unsure but then everyone was so lovely who comes to look after my mother in law and puts us as ease knowing she is well cared for, managers re-assured us and always their at the other side of phone of any issues.

From my first call to Bluebird, requesting support, the whole process from our initial meeting to discuss requirements, the setting up and the provision of care has been seamless and stress free. The care provided is adapted to my Mother-in-laws needs. Overall Experience

The service I have received from Bluebird Care has been wonderful from everyone concerned. All the staff from management down to all the carers have been kind, understanding and fair and very patient. Old age can't be reversed, but it certainly can be made more comfortable by caring people.

We get a fabulous service that I feel is very much tailored to our needs as a family. Staff are warm and friendly and I believe they truly care about people, nothing is ever too much trouble. We have been using Bluebird Care for approximately five months now and we are extremely happy with their service.

My sister has dementia and was struggling to cook a meal plus I wanted the assurance that someone was checking on her on days when I was unable to see her. I rang Bluebird and the owner came out to see us to assess our needs. She is a really lovely lady and nothing is too much for her. We agreed on an hour a day for lunch times. All the staff that care for my sister have been wonderful, very friendly and caring. It's nice to have some consistency and we have three carers that visit on a rota basis. If ever a new carer is introduced, they come with one of the existing ones so that my sister feels comfortable with them. All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending Bluebird to anyone who needs a professional, caring service for their loved ones.

I was trying to find some home care support for my father at very short notice. My initial point of contact was the owner, she was understanding, efficient and even though they were extremely busy, she was committed to providing a service for us at very short notice. Importantly, the owner liaised well and always made contact when she said she would. Together with her colleague, they swiftly undertook the required procedures to give us a quick start date. The carers I met showed compassion, care and sensitivity. My dad didn’t require this service for very long but I would have no hesitation in contacting them at a future date should the need arise.

Overall Experience

We were really nervous about having carers come in but our first meeting with a member of staff made us feel so at ease, you can tell he really cares and is not just in the office with no hands-on experience. Everything was explained clearly and tailored around my father-in-law's needs. The first meeting with the cares went brilliantly, we didn't know what to expect but they were absolutely fantastic, he came to oversee the first meeting. So far, I am very impressed with the service as a whole.

My husband liked to get out of bed before the carer arrived but on this one morning he couldn't get out of bed he was so stiff. When the carer arrived she came upstairs and she knew exactly what to do. She was patient and caring, she managed to get him to the bathroom get him washed dressed and downstairs for his breakfast.

Bluebird Care, Doncaster provided exceptional care for my mum for a six-month period prior to her going into a residential care home on a permanent basis. All the carers provided care of the highest standard and the half dozen or so ladies I met in person always seemed genuinely interested in my mum’s welfare. They did their duties in a warm and friendly manner and my mum looked forward to their visits. Management was always very accommodating and accessible and on rare occasions when I couldn’t get through, a swift callback was always forthcoming. I received regular calls from management to keep me updated and check on any areas where they could improve the care for my mum. Where I felt both management and carers really excelled was in updating my mum’s care over time. This really helped in adjusting the care to meet my mum’s needs. They anticipated any required changes before they became a problem.

The care my mum received from Bluebird Care was very kind and caring, and Mum was always treated with dignity and respect.
The manager always did her best to accommodate the hours and days that suited Mum best and welcomed any feedback. She was also very kind in offering support from Mum's carers for Dad (when they were there for Mum) when he was very poorly.
When Mum was particularly unwell, the carer that day stayed with us for longer to ensure my Mum was OK.
The reason I gave four stars rather than five was because during the time Bluebird Care was caring for Mum, the staff was in a state of flux - they were understaffed, then the original staff left, and lots of new staff joined, so Mum had different carers all the time. All were very nice, though. I imagine that this situation has settled down now.
It was always easy to contact the manager, and we were generally informed when new staff were coming.

I would recommend Bluebird Care to other potential clients.
