Generally good, occasionally a little less so. Staff late, fail to care for my severely disabled condition with due diligence causing me pain and discomfort. Sometimes sending staff who have no knowledge of my specific needs. I often go into spasm during a call caused by the teams lack of care / knowledge . I've a particularly sore bottom which I don't feel that they always take into account. Following a stroke over half my body does not function properly and parts of it are hyper - sensitive, yet staff often do not understand what effect this has and their care is not as sympathetic as it might be. I cannot speak and yet none of the staff understand sign language even at a basic level. Staff often talk to one another and don't include me or ignore me altogether. They rarely try to get to know me or understand my communication methodologies. I've written a web page detailing the skills that are required for adequate care
Hi, Thank you for your review. All staff have access to your care plan on their handheld devices and can access what your medical needs are. All our staff are trained in the Care Certificate where Communication is part of that learning pathway but unfortunately Sign Language isn't yet part of that curriculum.
If it wasn't for my mother nit wanting to change companies, I personally would have done a long time ago
Thank you for your review Paul. I can see this was all included in your Mum's last review where concerns were addressed and hopefully rectified. Thanks again for your review.
I have been having the services of Valley Care some eight months now, to help care for my wife, who is sadly in the later stages of dementia, she is totally disabled. I do not have anything negative to say about them, all the carers have been respectful, kind, considerate, understanding and thoughtful when caring for my wife's needs. The company is well run and I would, unreservedly, recommend them to anyone who is in need of a first class service for their loved one.
Thank you for the lovely review, its great to hear you are happy with Valley care and we are meeting all of the expectations for your wife.
Very helpful and I've made a really nice friend, she is so lovely she gos above and beyond and I am so grateful for all of the help the carers give me whilst I'm waiting for my heart surgery thank you so much.
Thanks for this lovely review! We hope you continue to feel the service we provide is 5 stars!
A professionally delivered service where carers are compassionate and aways put my Mum first. They attend to all Mums needs efficiently and nothing is too much trouble for them. As a result my Mum is feeling much better about herself despite her Dementia diagnosis.
She raves about two members of staff's breakfasts and they always look good when we arrive to give her medication and I think if she was able to kidnap another staff member to tuck her in every night she would!
They all do an amazing job and are very caring and attentive to mums needs
My grandmother has been with Vally care for a while now and all I can say on behalf of my grandmother and myself that we are very happy in all areas from personal care, shopping calls, a friendly face walking through the door 3 times a day,, it puts myself and our family at ease knowing that the carers are going in everyday,, my grandmother looks forward to seeing them everyday always happy to help, very pleased with the care she receives
Thank you for a lovely review. Its a pleasure looking after a lovely lady.
There are activities in communal areas which she enjoys attending and likes making friends with the other residents. She is very happy living there and I am reassured she is in a very safe environment.
Thank you for the lovely review, we are glad to hear your niece is enjoying her time here at Woodvale.
All the carers have been professional and have provided advice as and when needed.
Overall excellent service.
Thank you for your kind words, so glad to hear we are achieving what we set out to do and that your dad is receiving an excellent service.
