Thank you so much for this lovely review, and for being such a valued customer over the years - it really does mean a great deal to us all. We're so pleased to hear how much you enjoy your visits - whether that's getting out and about or having a helping hand at home, it's wonderful to know your carer is flexible and always happy to help in whatever way suits you best. That kind of warm, consistent relationship is exactly what we hope to build with every client.
We appreciate your honesty about the occasional timing hiccup - we know how important it is that visits run to schedule, and while we don't always get it perfect, it's something we take seriously and continually work to improve.

Mum is receiving two visits a week at the moment from Bluebird care primarily for a bit of company and also to carry out little jobs she wants done. She was anxious about these visits but felt reassured after her initial visit from office staff and then meeting the girls. All staff are kind, polite, cheerful and happy to help mum in any way they can. The schedule of visits provided weekly works well as mum knows who is coming. Any issues are quickly addressed and I feel confident I would be contacted if there were any concerns regarding mum which gives the family peace of mind.

I've been able to contact Bluebird Supervisor at any time during the last 6 months to "tweak" mums care visits as she progresses on her dementia journey.
I would highly recommend Bluebird Care.

My Mum has only positive things to say about the carers themselves, describing them as friendly, attentive, thoughtful, and always helpful. They provide any support or help she requires, taking the time to listen, and have a friendly chat.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this wonderful review - it truly means a great deal to everyone here at Bluebird Care Ayrshire. We're so pleased to hear that arranging care for your Mum was a smooth experience, even from overseas. We know how important it is for families to feel supported and reassured at every step, and we're glad our team could make that process as easy as possible for you.
It's lovely to hear that your Mum is enjoying such a positive relationship with her carers. Words like friendly, attentive and thoughtful are exactly what we strive for - care that goes beyond the practical and feels genuinely human. Taking the time to listen and share a friendly chat is something we consider just as important as any other part of the visit.
Thank you again for your kind words. It's a privilege to care for your Mum, and we'll be sure to pass your lovely feedback on to the whole team.

My Dad feels that one (April) carer was a little careless (one of the vertical blinds was damaged and a mark was left on a skirting board whilst hoovering). The carer did show Dad the broken plastic cord. Dad felt this particular carer was not very communicative.
There was one episode when the carer arrived late (As My Father remembers and the supervisor confirmed there had been a change in the arrival time but Dad was not told)
However the normal carer that is now back from her holiday, (for May) is very dependable, reliable, helpful, very cheery which Dad loves.
The below star rating is for April (and would be different for May)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback - it really does help us improve our service, and we're grateful you've been so candid. We completely understand how unsettling a change in routine can be, and we're sorry your Dad found the cover period disruptive. While we do work in small teams when a regular carer is on leave, we recognise that carer match isn't always perfect, and we take that seriously.
We sincerely apologise that your Dad wasn't notified of the change in arrival time - this was a communication error on our part, and our coordinator spoke with your Dad directly to apologise. We've also noted your Dad's preferences for future cover arrangements.
Regarding the damaged blind and the mark on the skirting board, we will be speaking with the carer concerned now that we're aware, as this falls short of the standard we expect.
We're delighted to hear his regular carer is back and that May has been a much more positive experience. Thank you again.

Bluebird has made this transition possible with there ease of implementation and the carers are so professional and helpful and Dad feels very relaxed and comfortable with their assistance.
As a family, we could not have wished for a better outcome, thank you so much Bluebird.

From the first time I contacted Bluebird Care Ayrshire to the support for my mum, the approach was professional but also approachable. So glad I discovered Bluebird. Even after the first support session I was contacted to make sure everything went smoothly.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a fabulous review. It means the world to our team to know that we are helping and these reviews allow others to find out more about our services from the people who are receiving them. Word of mouth and recommendation are powerful. We look forward to continuing with this five-star service for you. Thanks again.

I felt her carers were especially good at helping to create and maintain a homely atmosphere while...
One improvement would have been to be able to provide visit times in line with the usual routines Mum had for meals and medications. Unfortunately, as is widely reported, there is a chronic shortage of care staff all over the country and this is not a reflection of the overall care provided by all Bluebird staff involved in Mum's care.
We are both very appreciative and thankful for all your help and support.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so pleased that both you and your mum are happy with our care. We will continually listen to feedback and look for ways to make improvements.

John has worked in the care sector for over 18 years; he has worked in private, residential and care at home. His journey started as a support worker with ILS where he progressed to senior carer.
He completed his SVQ level 3 and then moved to Hansel Alliance where he worked with young adults with complex care needs. During his time here, he progressed to coordinator and later the manual handling trainer.
After that, he moved on to be a personal assistant for a young man who was non-verbal with complex autism, but he missed the training side, so he moved to Carewatch where he was the training manager for 6 years.
He enjoys training because he feels he can give people the best knowledge and understanding to provide high-quality care. Learning from his experiences, he likes to have a laugh during training to ensure that it keeps fun and allows people to retain more.
In his spare time, he likes to play pool and clay pigeon shooting, and he dabbles in buying and selling antiques and collectables.
