My brother has Huntingtons Disease (HD) which impacts his mobility, fine motor skills and memory amongst other things. He needed help with everything from shopping, meals, self care and housework.
As my brothers needs increased CareFirst24 were recommended to me. They did not disappoint. They (management) went above and beyond for my brother and for me.
They helped support me with CHC boards by providing detailed accounts of my brothers progression of symptoms and increasing needs. This was fully evidenced with care logs and regular care assessments.
They took time to learn about his illness, taking courses and providing staff with additional training so they were best able to support him.
On the very rare occasion there was a carer that wasn't a good fit. They dealt with it swiftly and without hesitation. Standards were high.
He was recently moved to a specialist neurological care facility. They will never know just how much their support helped us.

The care agency is professional and well run. Carers are reliable and have always turned up. They come every morning to wash and dress my 100 year old mother who has a degree of dementia with the associated mood fluctuations They are well trained, caring and cheerful and manage these mood changes with patience and kindness. The agency is flexible so we are able to arrange care around our needs , cancelling when mum is with my sister and reinstating when she's back home. The agency and carers were lovely, marking her recent 100th birthday with flowers and gifts. They really care for their clients.

I am writing as a parent to my son who is autistic. My mother requires 24-hour care with monitoring of her diabetes hourly. This has been extremely unstable but as the nurses have got used to her and guided her food choices her diabetes control has improved. This has helped her cognitively as well and she’s becoming more involved in her care. As a family the care she has received from Care First 24 has made a huge difference to our lives, before my sister and i were being called several times each day and night and had to drop everything to fill in if no one was available or someone was sick. I really can’t speak more highly of this company in respect of all the lovely staff and care that my dad received. My dad was looked after with the upmost care, respect and dignity that he deserved. Meet the Team (29)
Lynn has sat on the HCA board and is a fellow of the ILM. She has been seconded twice to the DHSC during Covid-19, firstly assisting Sir David Pearson and then as Eastern Region Taskforce Response Team Lead. Lynn volunteers for numerous other roles, including School Chair for neurodiverse young people and trustee for two other charities.
Lynn started her career in care at Southwark Social Services in 1991 and over the next 8 years progressed through the ranks to become Special Needs Housing Manager by 2000. Her passion for delivering care in the community and supporting her staff to personally develop has been highlighted over the last 15 years, where she has used her skills to not only grow businesses from scratch but also create opportunities so that her team can continually develop. Her team always come first, and Lynn makes it an essential part of her business model to support her team and give as many opportunities to them to increase their skill set.
Throughout her career, Lynn has been instrumental in promoting positive, inclusive relationships, retaining staff through personal development and ensuring improved well-being. Care First has grown to a 28-strong office team, a care professional team of 94+ carers, 31 nurses and 15 support workers.
Jayne Easterbrook joined Care First 24 in January 2024 as our Development Director.
Jayne brings many qualities to her new role, alongside her vast experience in the health and social care sector, as well as in learning and development. Jayne has lots of valuable experience and started off her career as a support worker for learning disabilities.
She then trained as a general nurse and worked in health and social care, both hands-on and in learning development.

The design of all our branding materials, such as company brochures, newsletters, good story promotions, candidate features, etc. To build our reputation through trust and expertise and building awareness on charitable support campaigns. Assisting with care home award entries and enabling success through strong submissions. Welcoming all new staff members with ‘Welcome to the Team Packs’ and ensuring all staff, clients, and service users receive cards and gifts on special occasions, such as birthdays, etc.
Provides leadership, ensuring service users are at the heart of our care delivery, acknowledging their wishes and preferences to enhance their well-being.
Holly’s role is out of hours and clinical support. She brings many qualities to the role and thrives from working under pressure. Holly enjoys meeting the patients and families and being able to support them at a time when it is most needed. She quickly realised that she wanted to undertake a nursing apprenticeship.
Holly has had excellent access to training opportunities at Care First 24, such as; tracheotomy, peg feeding, nutrition and fluid, train the trainer in dementia. This has helped her develop further in her nursing training.

I qualified as a Nurse in 2004 and have worked in various positions in different settings including Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Private Companies (Fresenius Kabi) and in Homecare. My most recent experience has been working in Complex Adult Homecare since 2018 under Lynn’s leadership hence why I was happy to take on this new role as Clinical Lead at Care First 24.

I ensure that the frontline care professionals with the most appropriate and beneficial skillsets are found in order to aid us with the various packages of care that we take responsibility for.
