When your child needs 24/7 ICU level care at home, you don't get the luxury of things going wrong.

Before Carefirst24, the biggest fear was simple. What happens if a shift isn't covered? What happens if the care isn't good enough? Those aren't small worries for us, they are everything.

Since being with Carefirst24, that fear has gone. Every shift is covered. Every time. No last minute panic, no gaps, no stress. Just consistency and reliability when it matters most.

But what really sets them apart is the people. The nurses they provide are not just qualified, they genuinely care. You can see it in how they treat our son, in the attention they give, and in the confidence they bring into our home. That human side means more than anything.

Their communication and support has been just as important. They are always there, always responsive, always helping. Whether it is something clinical or just needing guidance, it never feels like we are dealing with a company. It feels like we have

We are very happy with Carefirst24,all carers are exceptional with our son,all who care for him have got to know him so well. For a young man who's non verbal and non mobile they know when he is uncomfortable but also can tell when he's in a good mood, which is important. It's lovely when the weather is good they will go out in nature as he love trees and the sound of the bird's. It's also good to have the company for hospital appointments.

My brother has Huntingtons Disease (HD) which impacts his mobility, fine motor skills and memory amongst other things. He needed help with everything from shopping, meals, self care and housework.

As my brothers needs increased CareFirst24 were recommended to me. They did not disappoint. They (management) went above and beyond for my brother and for me.

They helped support me with CHC boards by providing detailed accounts of my brothers progression of symptoms and increasing needs. This was fully evidenced with care logs and regular care assessments.

They took time to learn about his illness, taking courses and providing staff with additional training so they were best able to support him.

On the very rare occasion there was a carer that wasn't a good fit. They dealt with it swiftly and without hesitation. Standards were high.

He was recently moved to a specialist neurological care facility. They will never know just how much their support helped us.

We were having trouble with poor and unreliable service from the nhs provided service.

Becky from Homecare visited us and was very impressed with her knowledge and understanding of my mother's needs.

The carers were fabulous with my mother and Becky was always on hand to talk to.

We have had a carer from this agency for approx 8 months. My young person has complex needs, developmental delay, severe disabilities but the Carer has been very competent since day 1. Has been eager to learn all about my young person's need's through training sessions prior to starting with us. It obviously takes a while to get to know a young person who has limited communication abilities but this Carer is so kind and knowledgeable and making sure everything is done correctly.

I can't praise this Carer enough, she is a true professional and a pleasure to have in our home.

The care agency is professional and well run. Carers are reliable and have always turned up. They come every morning to wash and dress my 100 year old mother who has a degree of dementia with the associated mood fluctuations They are well trained, caring and cheerful and manage these mood changes with patience and kindness. The agency is flexible so we are able to arrange care around our needs , cancelling when mum is with my sister and reinstating when she's back home. The agency and carers were lovely, marking her recent 100th birthday with flowers and gifts. They really care for their clients.

One of their staff members has been instrumental in supporting us with our care package since our first conversation. We have had dealings with many professionals over the years who manage care plans for my mum, but I have never had the pleasure of working with someone as caring, pure and honest as her and these are just her soft skills! She is so focused and switched on, her organisation skills are astonishing, teamed with her work ethic, which makes her the model employee. I think the fact that I can even comment on these skills so confidently proves how relentless she has been in supporting me personally through this new chapter in our lives, from our frank and honest conversations to moments of hysterical laughter. She is a true gem that will turn any situation into a better one and will certainly strive for the most beneficial outcome. I cannot thank you enough.

I am writing as a parent to my son who is autistic. My son has been receiving psychological support from Care First 24 for the last six months to help him with his everyday psychological struggles and has now been offered to be their Autism Champion to help educate everyone on many of the misconceptions and incorrect beliefs that surround autism. Together with the support he has been receiving and the opportunity to educate people on autism has given my son strength and a new purpose in life. Thank you, Care First 24 for this amazing opportunity for my son.

My mother requires 24-hour care with monitoring of her diabetes hourly. This has been extremely unstable but as the nurses have got used to her and guided her food choices her diabetes control has improved. This has helped her cognitively as well and she’s becoming more involved in her care. As a family the care she has received from Care First 24 has made a huge difference to our lives, before my sister and i were being called several times each day and night and had to drop everything to fill in if no one was available or someone was sick. We’re still very involved but have been able to have some life of our own. Thank you.

requiring 2-1, Care First 24 acted quickly and covered the required care with consistency, yet again providing support and working closely with us to make a nice team for our daughter to work well.
Always being available to contact and listen. Supportive.
Training if needed makes sure the client is comfortable and a good match for her and if not a smooth process in finding a more suitable carer understanding that it is vital she has good relationships with her carers.

Overall we are completely happy with how our relationship with the agency is going and appreciate their support.

I really can’t speak more highly of this company in respect of all the lovely staff and care that my dad received. My dad was looked after with the upmost care, respect and dignity that he deserved. The compassion that they showed to my dad and our family was outstanding. We were kept updated every step of the way and I really can’t thank them enough for their support. My dad sadly passed away, but they made his and our few last weeks so much easier with their care and wise advice and support. The manager and her team were incredible, their professionalism, the care itself were second to none and I hold this company in high regard and can’t thank them enough for their empathy.

Demi Abbot Romeo

My previous roles have been – disability/PIP assessor for DWP, community LD nurse and a staff nurse on an acute mental health ward.

In between these main roles over the years, I have also had experience working in the crisis intervention mental health team, working alongside SEN schools and supporting young people with LD transition into adult services. My passion has always been health promotion to minimise health inequalities for people with LD – encouraging and educating about hospital passports, annual health checks and reasonable adjustments.

I started my career on a busy trauma and orthopaedics ward, later moving to the neonatal unit and then to adult ITU, before ultimately taking on a community-based role as a complex adult clinical lead.

My passion for delivering outstanding care in the community stems from the belief that a patient’s journey doesn’t end in the hospital—it begins there.
