GoodOaks Homecare provide home care services across Reading and West Berkshire.   GoodOaks Homecare provide personalised care and support to clients who want to remain independent in their own home.

Services include companionship care, home-help, personal care, medication assistance and administration, dementia and condition specific care. They can provide short-term respite/temporary care for times of stress or worry.

They are proud to offer a new service: Social Circles.   
Social Circles is a warm, small-group day service that offers older people the chance to connect, share stories, and enjoy companionship in a comfortable home setting. Hosted by trained and caring staff, sessions run weekdays from 10am to 3pm and include lively conversation, gentle social activities, and a delicious home-cooked lunch with dessert.

GoodOaks care and management team are fully qualified and DBS checked and fully committed to support and care for each individual's unique needs and preferences.

We employed Good Oaks to supplement soil care provided for my elderly father. Good Oaks have been highly professional and have met every expectation, their carers are very good not only at doing the tasks needed to support my father, but also in the care and empathy they show. The staff are very friendly and do their utmost to accommodate my mother's needs. There are hiccups but if there is a problem they will listen to our concerns and do their best to rectify the issue. We have tried other care services but found this company to be the most willing to adapt their service
to help as much as possible.

The Manager and Carer are so attentive.
The manager has visited mum regularly and provides a very comprehensive professional and personal report on her needs and support.
I am really pleased with the growing relationship that my mum is having with the new carer and it's really nice to see mum smiling
and really enjoying life again.
She has really made a difference to mum's well being and really helps her enjoy life.
I would recommend GoodOaks for any care needs.

Myself and my partner have got to know the carer that comes for 6 hours on 2 days a week. She is always calm, caring, and helps my partner by stimulating him by chatting to him, helping to prepare lunch and drinks throughout her time here. She helps him with medication, attends a gym with him and
keeps him safe whilst he is using the machines. She always goes the extra mile by doing the washing up or getting washing in if I'm out or anything else that needs doing. I feel that I can leave him safely in her care

We found the initial introduction with the staff a pleasant and friendly interview.
One of the staff who visited as the carer was pleasant and diligent.
We would ask that this person be scheduled for each and every follow-up appointment with us for the purpose of continuity.

Following my father's major surgery, an excellent service was provided by GoodOaks Homecare. Twice daily visits were conducted in a professional manner, caring support was given during visits and communication was excellent. I would highly recommend this company. My recently widowed mother was diagnosed with Mixed Dementia and she lives alone. The previous care provider I had employed to prepare a hot meal was unable to provide a consistent slot time, this caused Mum confusion and stress. The council gave me contact details for GoodOaks Homecare and from my
first contact with them, they have been efficient, helpful and reliable. We agreed a 7 day a week visit to prepare a hot meal and to oversee medication consumption, 2 kind-hearted and well-trained carers attend to my mum over the 7-day weeks. This means Mum knows the carers well and since I have moved to GoodOaks I have been extremely pleased. I am also reassured that the level of attention from all the team I have communicated with at GoodOaks is compassionate, honest, reliable and professional. Moving Mum’s care to GoodOaks has helped me cope with a difficult situation.

The service we have for my mother from the manager has been remarkable from the first day she started. She is very thorough, has much patience, is very kind and caring and is now more like a friend to my mum.
