GoodOaks Homecare - Wokingham, Reading and West Berks

From the initial contact a few months ago, and since then for the weekly visits that were arranged for my mum, we have felt in good hands, and our confidence in GoodOaks and the care that they deliver has only grown. My mum was initially resistant in accepting any help, but the friendly, kind, and caring approach of the GoodOaks team quickly put her at ease and she's now more comfortable in asking for additional help if it is needed and looks forward to the weekly visit.  Everyone we've encountered at GoodOaks has been professional, helpful and caring at all times.  It's clear they understand that each person is unique, with individual needs and preferences, and they deliver care that reflects that. The carer who visits my mum each week is warm and chatty - and is a wonderful match for my mum. We're incredibly grateful for the support, care and companionship GoodOaks has provided so far, and wholeheartedly recommend them.

We employed Good Oaks to supplement soil care provided for my elderly father. Good Oaks have been highly professional and have met every expectation, their carers are very good not only at doing the tasks needed to support my father, but also in the care and empathy they show. The staff are very friendly and do their utmost to accommodate my mother's needs. There are hiccups but if there is a problem they will listen to our concerns and do their best to rectify the issue. We have tried other care services but found this company to be the most willing to adapt their service to help as much as possible.

Myself and my partner have got to know the carer that comes for 6 hours on 2 days a week. She is always calm, caring, and helps my partner by stimulating him by chatting to him, helping to prepare lunch and drinks throughout her time here. She helps him with medication, attends a gym with him and keeps him safe whilst he is using the machines. She always goes the extra mile by doing the washing up or getting washing in if I'm out or anything else that needs doing. I feel that I can leave him safely in her care

We would ask that this person be scheduled for each and every follow-up appointment with us for the purpose of continuity.

The carers are reliable, punctual and very pleasant and have become friends. They have made my life more easy in day to day living.

Following my father's major surgery, an excellent service was provided by GoodOaks Homecare. My recently widowed mother was diagnosed with Mixed Dementia and she lives alone. The previous care provider I had employed to prepare a hot meal was unable to provide a consistent slot time, this caused Mum confusion and stress. The council gave me contact details for GoodOaks Homecare and from my first contact with them, they have been efficient, helpful and reliable. We agreed a 7 day a week visit to prepare a hot meal and to oversee medication consumption, 2 kind-hearted and well-trained carers attend to my mum over the 7-day weeks. This means Mum knows the carers well and since I have moved to GoodOaks I have been extremely pleased. I am also reassured that the level of attention from all the team I have communicated with at GoodOaks is compassionate, honest, reliable and professional. Moving Mum’s care to GoodOaks has helped me cope with a difficult situation.
