Overall Experience

Jack and his team are simply amazing! From the moment I made contact I received a personable, professional response and they were able to put care in place the very next day. I have nothing but praise for this company. I have regularly changed times, cancelled shifts at short notice and nothing is too much trouble for them. The carers have been very carefully selected for their values, empathy and utmost professionalism, They are kind, punctual, caring and have the most infectious personalities that always bring a smile to my elderly disabled mum. I cannot rate this company high enough!

Overall Experience

I and my family have been well supported by all the staff at Goodoaks to ensure my Dad gets the care he needs. The carers are all very caring , respectful and kind. The management team are responsive and flexible. They have been so supportive at a very difficult time for my Dad and have helped me to feel that he is being cared for when I cannot be there.

Overall Experience

From the very first contact with Good Oaks, they have been swift, efficient and client centred, always responding quickly to enquiries. I feel comforted that my mother is having very very good care on their visits. The care workers have lovely conversations with my mother, they use kindness and humour to help her low mood in the mornings. It was noticed that my mum might be starting a pressure sore and I was advised to make a referral and how to do that. The two carers we have had have been very professional and we have had the same person most visits which is fantastic.

Overall Experience

During one of the most painful and emotionally difficult periods of our lives, GoodOaks Homecare St Albans and Harpenden provided truly exceptional care for my mother. From the very beginning, their team demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and genuine humanity, giving our family reassurance during an incredibly distressing time.

Every carer treated my mother with dignity, patience, and kindness. They went far beyond simply performing their duties; they created an atmosphere of warmth and comfort that made an unbearable situation easier for all of us. Their attention to her wellbeing, emotional comfort, and personal dignity was remarkable, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about her as a person.

The professionalism of the organisation was equally impressive. Communication was always thoughtful and efficient, the carers were dependable and respectful, and the standard of care remained consistently outstanding.

Good Oaks provided care for my mother. I cannot speak highly enough of the care offered.
My mother had various care companies and none came anywhere near Good Oaks.
They offered care of the highest order, never seemed to be in a rush (unlike some who were in and out as quick as possible) They treated my mother with so much love and care she almost thought they were one of the family, indeed they were so good Anna was more like a friend than a carer

I think 6 stars is deserved

What a struggle trying to get my father out of hospital and sort out care for him at home. From the outset GoodOaks have been outstanding, from the first phone call to arrange to meet us all to the care package now in place, everyone has been professional, timely and above all kind.

Nobody cared when a book character fell down the stairs. But GoodOaks cared after I fell at the bottom of my stairs. And ten months later they are still caring. Good Folks, I call them, if they will pardon the pun. Everyone of them a willing, healing hand. Actions, as we know, speak louder than words, even words of high praise. So many one day soon I may do some caring of my own. Like caring for my garden again. Like planting a commemorative oak tree. Then may you angels of mercy wear your garland of oak leaves with pride.

I have had an excellent experience with this care provider so far. From the initial assessment onwards, everyone has been friendly, professional and genuinely caring. The carers are approachable, respectful and supportive, and they have made a real difference to my day-to-day life.
I particularly appreciate that the care feels personalised rather than rushed or "one size fits all." Staff listen, involve me in decisions and respect my home, routines and boundaries. Communication has been very good throughout, and I have always felt comfortable discussing anything I need to.

Having reliable support in place has reduced a huge amount of stress for me, and overall I would happily recommend this provider to anyone looking for compassionate, high-quality home care.

Goodoaks Homecare has been providing help and support for my 93 year old uncle for a few years. My wife and I live in North Yorkshire, and my uncle lives in Poole with no other relatives close by. This makes it really difficult for us to support him in the way we'd like to. So the staff at Goodoaks have been able to fill that gap.
We have regular review meetings with my uncle and the care manager via video messaging. It is really useful and reassuring to know that we would be notified if there were any concerns.

At present, my uncle is stubbornly resistant to accepting more help, particularly with personal care. However, we are aware that Goodoaks staff would be able to amend his care package accordingly at short notice should the need arise.

We cannot thank Goodoaks homecare enough for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion shown to our mum during her final days. At very short notice, Ana arranged overnight care to give the family some much-needed rest and support during an incredibly difficult time.
Ana who came to care for her overnight was truly outstanding - calm, caring, professional, and so gentle in the way she looked after both our mum and the family around her. Her presence brought comfort and reassurance at a time when we needed it most.
Nothing felt too much trouble, and the support we received went far beyond what we could ever have expected. We will always be deeply grateful for the dignity, kindness, and compassion shown.

10/10. Genuine, kind and patient.
If anyone is reading to quickly to find a team to look after their loved ones, please believe me this is your team.
I cannot thank them all enough. We needed their help urgently, they had no preparation for the help we needed. They went above and beyond to help my parents. They really did. They are truly a genuine caring and kind team. It is a very difficult situation to find yourself in and when your parents are proud, independent and strong but suddenly urgently need help at home it is possibly a very tricky situation to be in, but they took the time with us and showed utmost respect and gentleness and kindness. I have experienced the "Care System" once before and it was a very very different experience. One that left me questioning the base values of our society today.
My brother and I are truly truly grateful.
