GoodOaks Homecare - East Herts

GoodOaks took over my father's care when the previous company withdrew almost without notice. They managed the transfer smoothly and professionally with minimal disruption to my father and ensured continuity of main carer. All the staff have been excellent and where there have been problems they have been dealt with calmly and professionally.

GoodOaks Homecare East Herts have been supporting my dad with personal care since May 2026. I contacted on a Friday evening and James responded immediately. James and Amanda completed their assessment with my parents on a bank holiday to accommodate a time when I could be available as I live a long distance away. The assessment was thorough and sensitive to my dad's needs. My parents are very independent people and accepting care has been a difficult experience for them, but the carers have been responsive and reliable. My dad describes his carers, Carrie and Jo, as "his dream team", which is reassuring for my sister and me. They have been so caring with my mum who is dad's full time carer, anticipating the extra things which make such a difference to her, such as helping her change the bed when needed and leaving the bathroom clean and tidy. Communication is excellent and James and Amanda go the extra mile, such as Amanda making a referral to the continence team. Thank you!

Very happy with the service that GoodOaks East Herts have provided to my father to date. They managed to accommodate daily visits quickly after our first contact which allowed my father to return to his own home. They've been diligent in administering his daily medications and ensuring he has sufficient supply. My father is a little proud to ask for help, but they sympathetically help with all the little tasks around the house that would otherwise be left undone. Lastly the daily feedback on each of their visits (available via an app) is absolutely invaluable. Many thanks.

As a daughter of frail but fiercely independent parents , having the support of Goodoaks means they can stay where they want - in their own home. I cannot recommend goodoaks strongly enough.
