Nobody cared when a book character fell down the stairs. But GoodOaks cared after I fell at the bottom of my stairs. And ten months later they are still caring. Good Folks, I call them, if they will pardon the pun. Everyone of them a willing, healing hand. Actions, as we know, speak louder than words, even words of high praise. So many one day soon I may do some caring of my own. Like caring for my garden again. Like planting a commemorative oak tree. Then may you angels of mercy wear your garland of oak leaves with pride.

My father is cared for twice a day by the company and I have been present on several of their staff visits. I have always been impressed by their professional and caring attitude and the way they treat my father with consideration and patience. Andrew, Simon,Evangeline and the team are brilliant with my mum and dad. My dad has vascular dementia so continuity is very important to him. The team are amazing and dad loves them all. Andrew especially is great with dad, he even turned up on my dad's 90th birthday with a balloon and present.
Simon saved the day the other morning by unblocking the toilet so now mums favourite!

My message here is the team go above and beyond to make life easier for mum and dad ,myself and sister.

Overall Experience

Our experience with Good Oaks has been fantastic from day one. The team was careful to listen to our needs -- both my dad's and his family's -- and approach the situation with empathy and care in order to develop an appropriate care plan that was immediately helpful and also scalable. They offer an excellent level of care: are kind, considerate and dynamic, adaptable and discrete where appropriate.
Communication is second to none. The team is friendly and approchable and we all feel comfortable communicating our needs both at the regular care review and on an ad-hoc basis.
And in tangible terms, the improvement in dad's situation is immeasurable. They have helped not only in practical ways - getting him up and moving, checking medication etc. - but also 'holistically': putting a spring in his step, and giving him some essential companionship where his family is unable to offer it.

In short, I can't recommend Good Oaks enough and look forward to a long relationship with them.
