During one of the most painful and emotionally difficult periods of our lives, GoodOaks Homecare St Albans and Harpenden provided truly exceptional care for my mother. From the very beginning, their team demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and genuine humanity, giving our family reassurance during an incredibly distressing time.
Every carer treated my mother with dignity, patience, and kindness. They went far beyond simply performing their duties; they created an atmosphere of warmth and comfort that made an unbearable situation easier for all of us. Their attention to her wellbeing, emotional comfort, and personal dignity was remarkable, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about her as a person.
The professionalism of the organisation was equally impressive. Communication was always thoughtful and efficient, the carers were dependable and respectful, and the standard of care remained consistently outstanding.

Ana who came to care for her overnight was truly outstanding - calm, caring, professional, and so gentle in the way she looked after both our mum and the family around her. Her presence brought comfort and reassurance at a time when we needed it most.
Nothing felt too much trouble, and the support we received went far beyond what we could ever have expected. We will always be deeply grateful for the dignity, kindness, and compassion shown.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

I was treated with care and very carefully washed and dried in the morning. The carer only came in the morning and was always on time, even though it was an early start. Any creams were applied safely and always gently rubbed into the skin. The carer only left after I was fully dressed and always checked if anything else was needed, tidying up the bed etc. Today the carer went an extra mile and took myself and my wife to local cafe, with me sitting in the car? I am not very mobile yet.

All the staff, without exception, are kind and caring, always ready to go the extra mile and often coming up with suggestions of ways in which they can be of additional assistance which hadn't even occurred to us.
In short, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have felt my elderly mother has needed a little help with hourly care for a number of months, but she has always resisted. I live a couple of hours away, so I was not there to give Mum the help she needs and it worried me. When events led to Mum finally agreeing one weekend, I phoned 4 companies that had been recommended to me. Having spoken to GoodOaks Homecare they were without doubt the best option, but even then I was worried that my Mum wouldn't accept them and wouldn't let a Carer into her home. Ana is brilliant at her job and made sure that everything was organised and immediately put Mum at ease. The team of Carers help Mum out with her medication (having contacted the GP to see exactly what she should be taking), take her to appointments and do tasks around the house Mum cannot manage. GoodOaks Homecare is a lovely company. I am so glad I found them. Ana is a godsend.
We are delighted to...
