GoodOaks Sussex South offer a hospital discharge service often carrying out client assessments in the major hospitals in Sussex such as Worthing, Chichester, Brighton and Crawley and Bognor. Working alongside discharge teams allowing patients to get home more quickly.

GoodOaks has Care teams in Brighton, Hove, Portslade, Shoreham, Lancing Worthing, Goring, Angmering, Rustington East Preston and many other areas. The team also offers Live In Care across Sussex.

My mother in law has received exceptional care and support from Goodoaks. The team have been attentive and patient with her, enabling her to stay home longer than she would have otherwise. I cannot believe the care & supprt we have received. True care & kindness with professionalism. We have had a very good experience with GoodOaks - they have been looking after our Aunt for more than 6 months. She lives alone and recently when she had a fall and when the Carer arrived she very quickly took control of the situation - she accompanied her to hospital and waited with her until we
were able to arrive which was some hours later. We were so grateful as my Aunt was very confused.
We feel that the whole team acted very professionally in what was a difficult situation.
The manager has arranged a short term Live in Carer so that my Aunt could go home to recover rather than go into a Care Home or a longer stay in Hospital.
This has taken so much of our stress away. We wish to thank them all for everything.
We feel like they treat my Aunt like family and it is a great comfort to us all

I would give this 10 stars if I could!
I can not recommend Good Oaks care enough. Not only has the live in carer provided support for my mum. She has got her into an excellent routine, they laugh all the time together and mum has gained a new companion. The peace of mind that it has given our family
is huge to us. Mum is looked after, safe and happy.
Two carers are utterly amazing at their jobs. They have supported us through this tricky journey and made it that little bit easier with their warmth, professionalism and caring natures. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes and the care would not run so smoothly if it weren't for you guys and your teams. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It's been just 5 weeks since GoodOaks starting caring for my mother, and I can honestly say that the Managers and Carers couldn't be more accommodating and caring. All the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They have matched carers to suit mum and she seems very happy.

My Mum lives independently with Alzheimer's Disease. GoodOaks has provided a reliable, consistent, well-coordinated and also kind service - not only to Mum but also to me as a carer living long-distance. Mum has a main carer, plus a few others, who visit at the same time every day - this really helps
with providing a routine and some consistency in having 'eyes on'. They know her well enough to be sensitive to fluctuations in her condition and act accordingly. I sat in on one home visit recently and was grateful to see how responsive the carer was in guiding Mum into a relaxed and happy state. GoodOaks even took Mum to a hospital appointment I couldn't attend and Mum enjoyed her day out, complete with takeaway supper. There are daily updates on their app about how Mum is doing and I'm also able to contact the team leader quickly if there's an issue to talk through. I am so grateful and have no hesitation in recommending GoodOaks.

The carer listens to the issues and acts accordingly.
Carer having a car is good, allowing freedom to go shopping and have a break from being at home.

Very good service provided for someone with Dementia. The Carers gave daily updates which were an invaluable source of information and kept me in the loop so I didn't need to worry. The carers showed compassion and understanding for which I will be forever grateful.

My mother lived independently for years with Parkinson's and Rheumatoid Arthritis but all of a sudden, at the age of 80, things changed and I found myself struggling to juggle full time work with being a carer with no idea of what a care package was. I contacted several care companies but found it difficult
to know who to go with until I contacted GoodOaks via an e-form on the website. One member of staff in particular answered my many queries, very quickly and clearly, and I was confident I had found the right company. She got the care package in place for me very swiftly as my mother came out of hospital. The area manager visited us the first few days to make sure the package was meeting our needs and is very flexible. My mother is thriving and has very quickly established an excellent relationship with her main carer. The care also helps me as a carer as I get hour to myself in the morning and the domiciliary service is invaluable. Very professional.

Goodoaks offered an incredible service compared to what we had experienced from another provider. They were very quick to respond and created a solution quickly and effectively. I would like to take a moment to commend the efforts of the Sussex South GoodOaks team. The carer has formed a strong bond with my father; this has helped the carer to provide support and care to a high standard. The entire team have shown understanding of my father's moods, concerns, and need for encouragement,
and have done so in a respectful and dignity-maintaining manner, whilst simultaneously keeping a light-hearted and pleasant tone to the engagements. Highly recommended.

My husband has Parkinson's and we have found it more and more difficult to cope. I was reluctant to call for help but felt I had to. I spoke with a number of companies. When I called Good Oaks the owner answered the phone at the weekend, she chatted to me for a long time and reassured me. The carers
are lovely I don't know where they find these people - they make sure that the same carers come all the time so we don't have strangers coming into the house. Thank you I would recommend this company.

My Mum has dementia. I had been doing my best to help keep her safe, clean, fed etc, but after an episode that saw her rushed into hospital, it became apparent I needed more help.
I met with GoodOaks for a review of Mum's needs and the development of a care plan. The hospital was very happy that Mum
was being discharged to her own home with GoodOaks as the care provider.
The team that visits Mum help bathe her, assists her in choosing which clothes to wear, ensures she eats and takes the prescribed medications when required, and helps with light cleaning duties. It is not just about the assistance with these everyday living tasks, it is also about the caring, upbeat, respectful and supportive company they provide my Mum. I arrived the other day to find them reading a newspaper with Mum, and having a good giggle together; that to me is priceless.
GoodOaks not only help care for my Mum but have given me peace of mind and taken a weight off my shoulders. Thank you to the whole team.
