I was very nervous about the prospect of having strangers in my home but I need not have worried as all the carers are lovely and worked hard to relax me. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile and laughter. They help keep my house clean and tidy, help with washing my hair when I needed it, help with the laundry and bedding changes, putting the grocery delivery away, .... the list is endless. Having carers has helped enormously and taken the strain off my son and DIL who both work full time. It also has taken away my worry of feeling a burden to them.

My experience with Home Instead is proving to be extremely beneficial, as my companion is imaginative in her choice of activities, which we carry out together. Including on good weather days, we explore our local surroundings, which are of wide interest to both of us. On bad weather days; there are a large number of board games in my house. We are both learning & teaching each other, asd we play, which proves much pleasure & lots of laughter. My Home Instead companion is always friendly & considerate. We get on well together & I am thankful that Home Instead matched me so well with this companion; we are enjoying our friendship.

We have used Home Instead for two years to visit my mother on a daily/twice daily basis. In the main the same group of carers have looked after mum, clearly with some changes along the way as staff have come and gone. That said, the level of consistency has been really good. The carers have helped with housework, preparing meals, personal care and laundry. They have always been extremely professional and kind with mum. Recently the level of care required increasing at short notice prior to mum needing to go into a nursing home. The request was accommodated immediately. A different kind of nursing care was required and we were most impressed with this, having not had exposure to this side of the Home Instead offering before.
The management team have always been available when we have had queries and where we have occasionally raised issues, these have been dealt with promptly.
Pricing is perhaps at the higher end of the scale, but our experience was that it was worth it.

My experience over the past 11 months has been very good. I still do not find it easy having someone in my home, but my carers are understanding and helpful. Also, I have been fortunate to have had the same ladies on a small rota so can class them as friends.

All my carers have been absolutely great, they really are very caring. While they are with me they will do any jobs, like ironing, cleaning, going with me for a walk or just sitting and having a chat. I would certainly recommend them to others who need help and assistance.

The scheduling and administration staff I am in contact with are also very helpful, but I do have an issue with the lack of communication with the senior management who seem distant and unresponsive. Home Instead have been providing care for just over 12 months to my elderly friend. Now that a regular routine has been established the service they provide is of a high standard. They have worked with me to ensure that all the requests we have made have been accommodated and we are now happy with a regular team of care professionals who work hard to support my elderly 93-year-old friend who suffers with Alzheimer’s. We benefit from a care provider who is now the most regular one to visit; we really appreciate her and the rest of the team’s care and support. They ensure any changes or concerns are fed back to me for attention. The other carers are also of a great standard and following a fall when my friend was home alone they were quick to get me involved. As a result of the fall, my friend also needed additional visits which Home Instead sorted quickly and efficiently, having carers in place for temporary nighttime visits without any hassle.

Meet the Team (11)
We are the Owners of Home Instead Preston & South Ribble.
I oversee the whole operation of running Home Instead South Lakes, Home Instead Lytham, Fylde & Wyre and Home Instead Preston & South Ribble, including the Care Professionals, Office Support Team, the Senior Leadership Team and a network of external contacts who help support our business and clients. I have been assessed by the CQC as competent to hold Registered Manager status for the business, which I share with Judy Clay, Director, who is also a Nominated Individual with the CQC. I completed Level 5 Management and Leadership in Adult Social Care in 2022, which is the qualification needed to hold Registered Manager status in England.
I am fully responsible for overseeing a Caring, Responsive, Effective, Well-led and Safe Domiciliary care business, ably supported by the Senior Leadership Team and Office Support Team.
I also oversee the Safeguarding Team, which ensures all Care Professionals are kept up to date and trained on all Safeguarding protocols. I am the Privacy Champion for all data protection matters in the business.
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Preston office, ensuring smooth operations, team coordination, and efficient processes to support business goals.
I joined Home Instead over four years ago, and my journey here has been incredibly rewarding. In my role as Group Business Development and Systems Manager, I am responsible for supporting all three offices across various aspects of business operations. This includes ensuring our systems work seamlessly together, managing data and reporting, driving further business development, and fostering collaboration between the offices to maintain alignment and efficiency.
Previously, my role focused on onboarding new clients, guiding them from their initial enquiry to their very first visits. I worked closely with external agencies to address client requirements, family needs, and funding, ensuring every client’s experience was OUTSTANDING from the very start. I also ensured our clients were invoiced correctly, queries were resolved promptly, and our Care Professionals were paid accurately.
I continue to maintain and optimise our IT systems and software, ensuring we operate as efficiently as possible. Together with the rest of the office support team, I strive to ensure our Care Professionals and clients always have an exceptional experience at Home Instead.

Responsible for coordinating and allocating visits, ensuring all client schedules are fully covered, and care is delivered on time. Works closely with the team to match caregivers with clients and respond quickly to any changes or gaps in coverage.
