I can't recommend the manager and her carers at SRP highly enough. They have been caring for my father for several months now and their starting point is what is best for the person receiving care and keeping them as independent as possible, as well as supporting me and my siblings.
The manager has
improved the quality of medical care my father is getting as she knows how to navigate the system. She stays close to her carers and my dad too, as well as to us. She has invested in our main carer by paying for her to attend courses that help her support my dad with his dementia. Our main carer is brilliant - really kind and supportive.
I can't imagine where we would be without her. My dad doesn't want to go into a home and without their support I don't think we could manage. We are quite simply, extremely fortunate that a friend recommended SRP to us based on her on experience of their care for her mother.
Reply from Anneka Phakey, Director/Nominated Individual at SRP HomecareThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. Your words truly touched us and remind us why we do what we do. We're so glad you've felt supported-not just in caring for your dad, but as a family. Providing person-centred care that respects independence while supporting loved ones is at the heart of our approach. We're especially pleased to hear the positive impact your dad's main carer has made. She's a valued part of our team, and it means a lot to know her kindness and professionalism have made a difference. Dementia care is something we're deeply committed to, and we work hard to ensure our team is trained and confident in delivering the best support. Knowing this has helped your dad maintain dignity and quality of life at home is incredibly rewarding. Thank you again for trusting us and sharing your journey-it's continue to remain a privilege to support your dad and your family.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.417)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.417) out of 10 for SRP Homecare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for SRP Homecare is calculated as follows: ( (11 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for SRP Homecare is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Director Joined: 2019

As the Director of SRP Homecare, I’m incredibly proud to run a small, family-run service that truly puts people first. Caring has always been a big part of my life. I spent almost 20 years living with my elderly grandparents, and seeing the support they needed—and the love they deserved—shaped everything I believe good care should be.

That experience is at the heart of SRP Homecare. We treat every person we support as we would our own family, with kindness, patience, and genuine respect for their wishes.

I’ve worked in the care sector for 7 years, and I’m passionate about offering live-in care, companionship, and nursing care that helps people stay independent and comfortable in their own homes. I also strongly believe that high-quality, bespoke care should be accessible and affordable—everyone deserves the right support without facing unnecessary financial pressure. This belief guides how we build our packages and support families.

Our wonderful team shares the same values. They always go the extra mile to make sure each person feels safe, listened to, and supported in a way that suits their unique needs and routines.

If you’re looking for care that is personal, compassionate, and tailored around you—at a fair and reasonable price—we’re here for you. Please feel free to reach out—we’d be honoured to support you and your loved ones.

Hi, I’m Noah! I’m a 2.5-year-old Labrador, and I like to think of myself as the real boss at SRP Homecare. I join Anneka on client visits and assessments, mostly to check that everyone is happy… and to see if anyone has snacks.

I absolutely love meeting new people. My job is to bring a bit of joy, a wagging tail, and the occasional sloppy cuddle to brighten your day. I’m very calm, very gentle, and I take my role as “Chief Comfort Giver” extremely seriously.

Clients tell me I make them feel relaxed and at ease—though between us, I think it’s just my big puppy eyes. I enjoy head scratches, tummy rubs, and pretending I haven’t already had three treats before I arrived (please don’t tell Anneka).

You’ll usually find me sitting politely during visits, offering a paw, or quietly snoozing in the corner once I’ve completed my “meet and greet” duties. I love being part of the SRP family and helping bring a little extra warmth to the people we support.

If I’m lucky enough to visit you, I promise to be on my best behaviour… but I can’t promise I won’t check your pockets for biscuits.
