They handled absolutely everything-matching us with a compassionate, highly skilled carer who understood post-spinal surgery restrictions perfectly. Philip took the time to listen to our specific needs, from mobility assistance to medication reminders and light housework. The carer they provided was not only professional and punctual but also brought a warmth and kindness that made my wife feel safe, respected, and truly at ease during a very vulnerable recovery period.
Thanks to Carinyo I could focus on being a supportive husband rather than a stressed out nurse.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a positive experience, it was a pleasure to be able to support you both.
The service was first class. I was very happy with way in which we were dealt with from the beginning to the end. During the night I felt I was safe and secure as I was checked upon and did not have to call more than twice at any time if I required assistance. If I was able to afford it I would be using this service to the fullest extent, unfortunately I cannot.
We also truly appreciate your honest feedback regarding affordability....

With over two decades of nursing experience before becoming an entrepreneur, my professional journey has always been centred on responsibility, clinical excellence, and compassion. As a Registered Nurse, I have worked across medical-surgical units, as a theatre scrub nurse, in private nursing care, and in managing a nursing dementia unit. These diverse roles exposed me to both the technical precision required in acute settings and the deep patience and empathy needed in long-term and dementia care.
Working in high-pressure clinical environments taught me that safety and dignity must never be compromised. Managing a dementia unit, in particular, reinforced how vital consistency, reassurance, and truly person-centred care are not only for service users but for their families who entrust us with their loved ones.
Throughout my career in both NHS and private healthcare settings, I witnessed what outstanding care looks like and what happens when systems fall short. Families place enormous trust in healthcare professionals, and that trust must be earned every day through competence, integrity, and genuine compassion.
As the demand for high-quality home care continues to grow, I recognised the need for a service that blends strong clinical governance with warmth and human connection. That conviction led me to co-found Carinyo Care.
As CEO and Managing Director, I remain closely involved in upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and personalised care. Together with highly experienced Co-Directors and a dedicated Registered Manager, we have built a team defined not only by skill, but by empathy and professionalism.
Carinyo Care is more than a business to me; it is a continuation of my vocation. If my own family ever needed support, I would want it delivered with the same dignity, compassion, and excellence that we provide to every client today.
I spent more than 25 years in financial services, most of them as an Independent Financial Adviser, helping people plan for the possibility of needing care later in life. I made sure my clients received every penny they were entitled to from the State, and I wasn’t shy about challenging Local Authorities or the NHS when their assessment of someone’s needs didn’t quite stack up. Protecting clients’ assets and ensuring fair treatment was always at the heart of what I did.
Of course, care isn’t something that only happens to “other people”. With more than one in four people in the UK likely to need some form of care, the chances were high that my own family might one day need support. With me only a few years away from joining the second-largest age group needing care (those aged 75+), it really brought the issue close to home. The largest group, of course, is those aged 85 and over.
After years of hearing first-hand from my clients about their experiences with live-in care, and having studied the market myself, I realised that if my wife or I ever needed support, I would want nothing less than the very best. That thought became the spark for something bigger: I decided to set up my own company.
I surrounded myself with exceptional people—business partners with deep clinical and regulatory expertise, and a Registered Manager who shares our commitment to outstanding care. Together, we set about finding carers who were not only highly skilled but genuinely compassionate. I’m proud to say we’ve achieved exactly that. Our carers are in high demand from service users and are well-regarded by Local Authorities who commission our services.
To say I’m proud of what we’ve built would be an understatement.
Whether I’ll one day need the support of Carinyo Care myself… well, only time will tell.
With over 15 years of experience in the health and social care sector, I’m proud to join Carinyo Care as Registered Care Manager. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a variety of care settings, leading teams and supporting individuals to live with dignity, independence, and choice.
I’m passionate about delivering truly person-centred care and ensuring that every individual we support receives a service tailored to their unique needs and preferences. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships – not just with those we care for, but also with their families, our care staff, and healthcare professionals.
As a qualified leader in care with a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management, I have a strong background in compliance, care planning, and team development. I’m committed to upholding the highest standards of care in line with CQC requirements and making sure our carers feel valued, supported, and equipped to provide exceptional service.
Carinyo means “affection” and “care” – and those values are at the heart of everything we do. I’m excited to help grow our service and make a positive impact in our local community.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum and actively involved in my local community, which helps keep me grounded in what truly matters – people, relationships, and making a difference every day.
I’ve been part of the team for 8 months now and feel incredibly proud to have passed my probation with flying colours. For me, caring is about compassion, dignity, and truly seeing the person in front of you. I love building meaningful connections with my clients and making a real difference in their daily lives. Sometimes it’s the smallest things – listening, respecting routines, cooking a favourite meal, or simply having a chat – that mean the most.
One of my proudest moments was being invited to my client’s grandson’s bar mitzvah. It meant so much to feel trusted and welcomed as part of the family. That’s what care is about to me – genuine relationships and heartfelt support.
Growing up with my younger sister, who has cerebral palsy, showed me the life-changing impact of good care. Supporting older people to live comfortably and with dignity feels especially meaningful, and I feel privileged to do this work.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to three boys. I love cooking, karaoke, and relaxing with a good TV show – and I bring that same warmth and positive energy into my caring role every day.
