We have used Acadia for some time. From the very start they have been amazing. Our mother has dementia and can be quite difficult, but all the staff are respectful and lovely with her best interest at heart. Two members of staff are extremely responsive to any changes in our request for my mum ;
from varying times; doing light cleaning ; doing her food shop etc. I cannot praise Acadia enough and this gives us ama ing peace of mind that my mum is ok. We have used a few companies before and my mum really didn't like them and we found them to u helpful and regimented. If you are looking for a care provider - look no further contact Acadia Support Services. Thanks to both and all the team

Couldn't recommend this company enough. After my grandad received care from the company it has helped me massively with juggling full-time work and looking after my grandad as well. Acadia stepped in to release some of the pressures. I can't thank them enough for the support and the care they provide.
Thanks to all the friendly staff at Acadia.

Acadia carry out the agreed services in a friendly and professional manner. There may be teething issues when new members of the team are introduced but these are quickly addressed and resolved. Staff are always polite and friendly to both the client and other family members and carry out their duties
efficiently and effectively.

Review from Kate L (Partner of Client) published on 21 July 2023 Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My partner has been very happy with the care provided by his substitute carer whilst his usual carer has been on holiday. He is also very happy with his usual care, but was bowled over by the enthusiasm, time, care and attention to his job that the substitute carer took during his visits. He was overflowing
with compliments about his present carer, in particular the pride he took in his role and the level of effort he made to make my partner's home as lovely as possible for him. My partner has early onset Alzheimer's disease and always took great pride in his home prior to his illness. His home was his castle. Sadly he is unable to keep his focus to maintain his home as well he once did, so the level of support and care from his present carer has been very well received indeed. Thank you.

Care for my mother-in-law is great, we have adjusted the carer timing around her dialysis with meetings with the care manager's personal visits on regular occasions. Her regular carer always rings to advise if she needs any provisions and medication. We feel she is safe with the carers.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.500)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.500) out of 10 for Acadia Support Services is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Acadia Support Services is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Acadia Support Services is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
