Always respectful, kind and caring. Always chatty and in a good mood. Really like all my regular carer's. Always explain what they are doing as I'm quite jumpy.
Only negative would be that new members aren't aware of my slow and quiet speech so don't always take the time to stop and listen to my needs
Reply from Farai Godo, Digital Marketing Manager at Mercie GraceThank you for taking the time to share this valuable feedback.

We're delighted to hear that the regular care team are respectful, kind and chatty, and that they take time to explain what they're doing. However, we take your concern about new carers very seriously. It's essential that all our staff understand and respond appropriately to individual communication needs, particularly when supporting clients with quiet or slower speech patterns.

We'll be reviewing our handover procedures to ensure that new carers are fully briefed on communication preferences and needs before their first visit. Every carer should take the time to listen carefully and adapt their approach accordingly.

Thank you for highlighting this, it will help us improve the service for everyone.

Its early days but so far so good! After looking after my mother for many years I now realise I need help as well as mum. It's hard letting strangers into your home and looking after your loved one but I'm slowly getting used to it, and the carers.
Reply from Farai Godo, Digital Marketing Manager at Mercie GraceThank you so much for this thoughtful review.

You've touched on something many families experience - that initial hesitation about accepting care and allowing carers into the home. It takes time to adjust, and we're delighted that the early signs are positive and that you're gradually becoming more comfortable with the support in place.

As you're still in the early stages, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if there's anything we can do to make this transition easier. We want to ensure the care arrangement works well for everyone.

We really appreciate your trust in us during this important time.

My friend sometime complains the carers don't talk to her and being on her own she would welcome a bit more chat . She has sometimes said the management don't get back to her very quickly . Most of the time she is quite happy with them.
Reply from Farai Godo, Digital Marketing Manager at Mercie GraceThank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us.

We're pleased to hear that the care recipient is generally happy with the service. However, we take your concerns seriously, particularly regarding conversation during visits and our response times to queries.

We understand how important companionship and chat are, especially for clients who live alone, and we'll address this with our care team to ensure visits are as engaging as they are supportive. We'll also review our communication processes to ensure we're responding to families more promptly.

We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, as it helps us improve the service we provide.

My sister is the care user and has carers 3 times a day. She has found the care reliable and has confidence in the current team who look after her.
As a family member of the care user I have always found the communication excellent if there is a problem of any description. I can contact and receive
immediate advice and similarly, if the carers encounter a problem when they visit they also communicate well with me.
Reply from Farai Godo, Digital Marketing Manager at Mercie GraceThank you so much for this wonderful review.

It's excellent to know that the care is proving reliable and that confidence has been built with the current team. We understand how important it is for family members to feel connected and informed, and we're really pleased that our communication - both from the office and from carers during visits - is working well for you. Being able to quickly address any issues and keep families updated is central to how we work.

We truly appreciate your trust in us and will continue to deliver the high standard of care you've described.

I had a physio appointment at the hospital on Monday 12th January at 11am.
I was told to be ready for 9am and the transport would have a wheelchair for me to use.
I was then taken to the busy waiting room. I knew during my wait I would need to access water and toilet facilities. It took me ages to
get a member of staff to help me.
I was sat waiting to go home all afternoon. It was after 18.00 pm when I eventually got home.
I expected the carer would have been and left.
My day time medications had worn off and as my night medications made me sleep, I couldn't take them until I was in bed.
Deenaro saw the Transport arrive as she was leaving and she came back to help me she was awesome and she managed to keep me calm while she helped me. What an excellent carer. Absolutely marvelous. Deenaro got me straight into my bedroom saw to all my needs and she made sure I let my daughter know I was safe.

The carers took over the care of my 94 year old Aunt following her discharge from hospital in December 2025. Initially she was reluctant to accept she needed the support but the carers have done a great job of displaying to her how much easier they can make her life.
All this without her feeling that
she is completely losing her independence. They provide personal care, medication, meal preparation and general support in a very professional and friendly manner. Their 3 visits a day provide me with the peace of mind that someone is looking out for her. They are very efficient at advising me of any issues and I feel confident she is in safe hands. They are very approachable and quick to respond to my questions

As far as I'm concerned all the carers that help me are lovely, cheerful and helpful people. Obviously they can make mistakes but quite rarely. After all they are human! I do find, however that the "Office" has difficulty in organising visit times for me (do not know about other clients). I do appreciate
though that things can happen to delay visits and cause problems with visit times. I have asked that my three visits per day are as follows - Breakfast - arrive 8:30 to 9:15 - Lunch - arrive 12:30pm to 1:00pm and evening - arrive 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Reply from Farai Godo, Digital Marketing Manager at Mercie GraceThank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We are thrilled to hear that you find our carers lovely and cheerful! We also sincerely appreciate your honest feedback regarding the scheduling of your visits. Overall, the service is very good, and the carers are very good. Some small blips - odd staff do not wear protection on their shoes and some turn the taps off too tight - training issues! On the positive any problems with health are immediately reported and dealt with. As for value for money no comparison
so we cannot state. The management we do not have much to do with so again cannot rate.
Reply from Farai Godo, Digital Marketing Manager at Mercie GraceThank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We take your comments about training issues seriously - proper protocols around protective equipment and procedures are essential, and we'll address these matters with our team immediately. We'd welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns about management interaction and value in more detail.

Well what can I say, we've had mercy Grace carers to look after my sister Ann, she has Alzheimer's and they took over from another company that weren't great. The wonderful ladies from Mercie Grace have looked after Ann for a couple of years now and we wouldn't know what to do without them! To say
these carers are outstanding isn't enough, the peace of mind they give us as a family is so valuable, their care is second to none, their professionalism, kindness , attention to detail and work ethic through the whole company is amazing. They call in to Ann every day morning and evening, to administer medication and food every week, they provide a sitting service twice a week and also provide a cleaning service for her each week, they have made her home sparkle, not only with their cleaning but with their personalities, thes ladies work so hard and ALWAYS have a smile on their faces and brighten Ann's day with laughter and their care of her. Give these ladies a call they ar truly awesome

We are happy with the service provided by Mercie Grace for Susan's care. We appreciate the variety of carers, all of whom seem well trained, polite and genuinely caring. In spite of their heavy work load and long working hours, they never seem flustered or in a hurry to leave, but always carry out their
duties in a calm manner, and tidy up before leaving. Our only other comment is that we would appreciate a more regular start time which can vary by 2 hours or more on occasions. Thank you all.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.506 for Mercie Grace is calculated as follows: ( (104 Excellents x 5) + (38 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (5 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 156 Ratings = 4.506
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Mercie Grace is based on 26 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
