I have been very impressed with the service myself and my husband David (the person who needs help and support). They have been consistent in attending on time and the days agreed. They are polite and very personable with my husband, who has difficulty with communicating at times. They have also helped me with advice and suggestions on how can be useful and keep safe myself.

My sister-in-law has 4 calls per day from SOS. She knows what time to expect them and they don’t let her down. She likes to have a chat and feels safe knowing they are popping in regularly. If there is a problem they are quick to let me know and I don’t feel I have to check up on them as they are reliable. I have an app that shows me what’s happened at each visit and how my sister-in-law is feeling on that day. Very good reliable company.

I would have no hesitation in recommending SOS who provide care support for my 96 year old Dad who lives alone. Due to deteriorating dementia, his visits have increased from 1 per day to 4 per day over the last 12 months. His changing level of care needs have always been quickly accommodated with complete focus on ensuring his needs are appropriately covered. The carers are always very friendly and put my dad at ease during their visits while carrying out their care with empathy and professionalism. Any concerns they have about my dad are always quickly raised with us which gives us peace of mind. The app is also very useful to help us to see who is scheduled to visit, the times they are due and then details on what has happened during each visit.

Very friendly and professional. Had a few carers in the past but SOS Homecare at Stockton Heath are the best. The staff are really good with Mum. I like the fact that they have the app where you can see the notes written by the carers for each visit and contact between the office and myself is excellent taking the weight off my shoulders knowing she's in safe hands.

I cannot praise SOS Homecare highly enough for the care and attention they have provided to my mum who is 96, blind and only semi-mobile. I originally got together with a person from SOS to agree on what they would do for Mum the 4 times a day they visit her and this has been adhered to and in a lot of cases surpassed on a daily basis. Not only do they provide care to her in a professional and dignified manner, but they also spend time to talk to her both about themselves and what’s going on in the world at large and allow time for Mum to hold a conversation back.
I have also rung the office and found the staff to be most helpful solving any issues I have had with both empathy and speed. The few times I have rung the out-of-hours service, this has been picked up within a couple of rings and again issues have been solved courteously.

No hesitation in recommending SOS.

What can I say. Dad has Alzheimer's, we started having homecare in April 2023. The carers are very professional, Dad has built a good bond with the carers. They show respect and empathy with him. It is nice that he has a male carer as well as female. We started off with 3 calls a day, it has increased to 4 per day. Also, we have increased the visits at meal times as Dad needs some encouragement. I have built up a good relationship with some of the office staff who genuinely care for their service users, I like that it's a local company from the nearby village of Stockton Heath.

I have worked in care for 35years now. Before I transferred to care, I worked in a sewing factory. I then worked at Wigan Infirmary on the acute medical ward, which is when I realised I was made to work in care. I have worked my way up in different companies from Care Worker to Registered Manager. I transferred across to SOS Homecare in June 2023 as a Review and Assessment Officer. Since then, I have changed my role to Deputy Manager. I enjoy the management side of my role and have built up good relationships with the team. In October 2024, I became the Registered Manager for the St Helens branch. Recently, I have taken responsibility for the Warrington Branch, also to cover maternity leave.

I started in the care industry 7 years ago, working as a Care Assistant. I eventually found myself working for SOS Homecare in 2024. I was a Care Assistant for SOS Homecare for 2 years until I became a Care Coordinator for the Warrington Branch. I couldn't have been happier about my promotion due to my passion for the company and the relationships I have gained with the staff and clients. I enjoy my role greatly and have always had a passion for care. I am currently completing my Level 3 diploma in adult care. I have been lucky to have a good team around me who have supported me to get where I am currently.
