There has been a massive change in my son since using Alcedo care. He has not been as anxious when out in the community, his confidence and concentration have improved, and his carers take him to all the different places he wants to go. Both myself and his dad and management for Alcedo care, have noticed a massive improvement. Since using Alcedo Care, we can't thank them enough for all they are doing for our son.

As a close friend of someone who receives care from Alcedo Care, I've seen firsthand the positive difference their support has made. From the very beginning, the carers have shown genuine compassion, professionalism, and respect, not just toward my friend but also toward the people around them.
What stands out most is how personalised the care is. The staff take the time to really understand my friend's needs, preferences, and routines, which has given them a renewed sense of independence and confidence. Communication has also been excellent - I always feel reassured knowing my friend is in safe, capable, and caring hands.
It's clear that Alcedo Care doesn't just provide a service; they build trusting relationships and truly care about the wellbeing of their clients. As someone who cares deeply about my friend, I'm incredibly grateful for the support Alcedo Care provides and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate care.

Alcedo had to start caring for our Aunt living with Dementia with no handover from previous carers and with no notice. They handled the situation with professionalism and above all, care. They have gone above and beyond what we asked for in order to care for our aunt to the highest level.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely feedback. We are really pleased to hear that you felt supported. Our team are committed to providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care, and it means a great deal to know that this has made a positive difference for your aunt and your family.
I would score Alcedo Care 110 out of 100. I don't know what I would do without them.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We are truly delighted to hear how much Alcedo Care has made a positive difference for you. Your kind words and incredible score mean the world to our team and we remain committed to providing the highest standards of care.
Being so utterly disappointed with the way our concerns were dealt with, we reported our experience to the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We have found Alcedo to be a company who prioritises financial gain over care and accountability. When they lost our trust, it raised serious concerns over the welfare of our father. We feel it is our duty to highlight our experience and needless to say, we would not recommend this company to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. To ensure a clear and fair representation of the care and service we provide we note we have been caring for your father since November 2023 without any previous concerns about care quality. The issues raised appear to stem from a dispute over care costs which was not...
My mother was supported by carers from Alcedo Care. The ladies who came to visit my mum were so understanding and spent the full time supporting my mum with personal care and administering medication and meals. When they had finished supporting her physically, they would spend any extra time having chats with her. They were all truly amazing.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are truly grateful that you took the time to share your experience with Alcedo Care. It brings us great joy to hear that the carers were able to provide your mum with not only the physical support she needed but also companionship. We take pride in...
Excellent service carers arrived on time and went the extra mile when caring for my father.
My child has been receiving care from Alcedo Care, and it has been one of the best care companies. The staff have been ever so understanding and patient with my son when providing care. The office staff have been very helpful with the times of visits and any concerns or enquiries I had. The nursing teams are excellent and deserve more recognition for their hard work as well as everyone that is involved in my son's care.
Carers and office staff are brilliant! Great company!
Will be recommending to everyone I know!
Thank you very much for your kind words and appreciation, we are more than glad you are happy with our service.
The level of care received for my auntie was amazing. Every need was treated with impeccable care and the staff were always so helpful. The office staff were always up to date with their care facilities and always adapted to provide the most sufficient care for my auntie. She always feels respected and valued when cared for and I couldn't appreciate the company more.
One of the excellent care providers I have been with. Very efficient and effective with the quality of care provided. Would definitely recommend to others.
I find that the carers are understanding and compassionate about my son's needs.
The management are easy to approach with open communication.
They're all lovely and more than capable of caring for my son and I am very happy with the service.
The only issue sometimes is lack of communication but this is improving.
Alcedo Care supports my dad with social activities a few times a week. The carers that attend from the Trafford branch have been amazing with him. They take him to different places and keep him occupied. They distract him in a positive manner when he is feeling low. Honestly, I am amazed by the fantastic work they do.
Alcedo Care has been looking after my mum who has complex needs. They are caring and compassionate. The dedication from the whole team is outstanding, they always listen and are quick to respond when my mum's health changes which unfortunately is frequent. Massive support and wonderful genuine people.
Thank you for your kind words, we are more than pleased we are able to provide quality care to your loved one.

Meet the Team (5)
My name is Jane and I am the Group Head of Operations at Alcedo Care.
With over 20 years of experience in Operations, spanning both commercial enterprises and the healthcare sector, I was immediately drawn to Alcedo Care after meeting its Directors, Jo and Andy.
The company's strong reputation, unwavering focus on delivering outstanding care, and genuine investment in its staff made it an exciting opportunity. I was particularly inspired by Alcedo Care's commitment to its core values, its family-like culture, and ambitious growth plans. The diverse range of services, including children's care, nursing, and various domiciliary and complex care packages, further confirmed that this was the right organisation for me.
My career initially began in a very different field—Marine Biology. I studied at the University of St. Andrews, conducted research at the North American Arctic Research Center, and even spent a summer on a small island in the Bristol Channel. Along the way, I gained some unique skills, from driving tractors to caring for rescued seal pups.
Transitioning into Operations across various commercial industries provided me with a deep understanding of operational management, including overseeing global exhibition projects for major brands. However, as my priorities shifted, particularly with my daughters growing up, I felt drawn to the care sector. That decision changed everything—I found a true passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives through my work.
My extensive experience in both commercial and healthcare settings has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set, helping me navigate operational challenges and ensure seamless service delivery. What truly motivates me is ensuring that our dedicated staff feel valued, supported, and engaged, so they can provide the best personalised care for those we support.
As the Group Head of Operations, my focus is on driving operational excellence, identifying areas for improvement, ensuring the highest quality standards, and supporting the continued growth of our services. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where both our clients and staff feel valued, supported, and confident in the care we provide.
I am proud to be part of the Alcedo Care family and excited to contribute to its ongoing success. Together, we are committed to enriching lives, empowering individuals, and making a real difference in the communities we serve.
