Experience has been good. Few teething issues when started but now all sorted and care needed is being undertaken as would want it to be. Happy to continue with care plan as reviewed this week.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're pleased to hear that things have settled well and that you're happy with the care being provided. We truly value your trust in us and look forward to continuing to support your mother.
Very disappointing service. We contacted Bluebird South Leeds to support my mum at home after surgery. Contact was easy and the positive response was swift. Service started the day after the home visit and care needs assessment. They said they could deliver what Mum asked for. Five hours after the first morning visit they contacted us to say that the original carer was no longer available, that the agreed hours would have to change and that only male carers were available on weekends and evenings, contrary to Mum's wishes. None of this was said prior to the service starting. Mum was upset and we had no alternative but to cancel, with no time to make alternative arrangements. We feel strung along and then let down at the very last minute. Think twice before using Bluebird Care.
Bluebird Care supports my ex-husband to be more independent; they have helped him to maintain his mentally healthy environment and recently supported him in redecorating the lounge; it looks better now than it ever has, and he is in such a better mental state. Although he remains under the well-being team at the hospital and continues to receive treatment from them, he is so much more positive in life of late.

Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is Shabir’s goal at Bluebird Care. But he also looks to support the wider community: "Making a contribution in the local community has been my personal aim both in paid employment and as a volunteer."
Before Bluebird Care, Shabir worked for a housing charity for over 16 years: "Giving a house to a family living in unsuitable housing/ bed and breakfast is hugely satisfying. The impact it has on the whole family is immeasurable and impossible to describe - especially the difference it makes to children's lives."
"Similarly, the care Bluebird provides has a huge impact on our customers' lives. Bluebird Care provides care that I would want for my own mother, father or other family members"
"Bluebird Care employs colleagues who are passionate about providing care. We empower them through good training and by giving them freedom to make decisions."
"Bluebird Care customers maintain their independence because they have complete control of the care they receive."
Diane has over 40 years of experience providing care, and as our Care Manager, she has a range of qualifications she draws on for her work: Train The Trainer (Infection Prevention, Safeguarding (Adults & Children), Medication, Moving & Handling), BTEC Level 5 Diploma, NVQ Level 4 & 3, all in Management & Leadership.
When she isn’t working, Diane loves playing Bingo, walking in the country, socialising, and spending quality time with her family. She also loves holidays abroad, where she often visits ancient archaeological sites.
“When someone is interested in live-in care, or respite care, I go to meet them and discuss their needs. I get to know them, and from that I put together a care plan and organise care for them.
When I meet a client, I try to look at the person as a whole and support them to live in the way they want. I look at their circumstances with them and from that, I can identify how best to support them.
With live-in care, particularly, we can provide a client with company and continued access to their familiar community, friends and family in their own home.
Again, with clients with dementia, live-in care in their own home is generally better than residential care. The familiar environment of a person’s own home is often preferable when dementia is involved.”
