Funding & Fees

Right at Home Dundee, Angus and North Fife cater both for private clients, with hourly fees charged directly to the client or their representative, and for clients whose care is fully funded by local authorities. Prices are available on request and honest, straight forward advice is given to Care seekers so that they can make informed decisions on the best funding option for them.
In Scotland, Local Council's Health and Social Care Partnerships commission free personal care to adults who are assessed as needing it, regardless of age, income, wealth, or marital status.
There are 4 main funding models for that care, as regulated by the Scottish Government under the Social Care (Self Directed Support) Scotland Act 2013.
Option 1 – a direct payment to you or your representative, by the Local Council, to pay for your own support.
Option 2 – you select the provider and the council pays that provided for the package of care as assessed.
option 3 – the local council selects the provider and directly arranges the support
option 4 – a mix of the above

My husband, diagnosed with Alzheimer's 5 years ago, was becoming more severely affected, and as his carer, I was struggling physically, mentally and emotionally. His care manager arranged a meeting with Right at Home, staff visit most morning and night and are so efficient and caring to both husband
and myself.
If there is a problem they either deal with it here, or get the appropriate help to come. Nothing is too much for them, Reviews with his care manager, Right at Home staff are very good checking if all is well and if extra help is needed. One point, it would be good to have some continuity of staff.

What a lovely review. Thank you very much for your constructive feedback! We appreciate that staff continuity is a significant and very legitimate requirement for our valued clients. We would love to achieve that consistency all of the time but with staff absence, holidays, new staff and the occasional staff leaving we find it really difficult , particularly in rural areas. We promise, however, that we will continue to try!

I am a relatively new user of care services and have found the team at Right at Home Dundee to be incredibly easy to work with. They have made a difficult transition as easy as possible. All the staff I have met are polite, punctual, respectful, very helpful and they genuinely care about my welfare.
A first-class service provided by lovely people.

The care provided by Right at Home has been fantastic. Mum loves the visits and the level of support/care has been amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and the carers have the knowledge about Mum's condition to improve her quality of life and ensure all her needs are met. The friendliness and caring
nature shine through and Mum is totally relaxed in their company.

Right at Home care has been such a lovely company from start to finish. They have been involved in supporting my mum to care for my step dad who has Alzheimer’s disease.
The company's ethics are wonderful and very person-centred. Prior to organising care, the owner and manager came and met with the
family to gather information about my stepdad. They ensured the same set of carers came to help. This allowed the opportunity to build rapport and trust.
The carers were always punctual, reliable, kind and caring. Unfortunately, my stepdad requires long-term care now but we would like to take this opportunity to thank the service for all their care, compassion, help and support over the past several months.

I am in my mid-70s, have Primary Progressive MS, had a cancer operation, been wheelchair bound for about 12 years and rely on my rather special wife for most everything including showering. Since it became increasingly difficult for her to help me from wheelchair to shower chair so our District Nurse
organised an assessment by the Council who made the contact with Right At Home.


Within a short time, a visit was organised to assess me and this was carried out by the Manager who then spent the first couple of visits determining how best she could assist and the experience for me has been transformational. From only having been able to have a weekly shower I now have one 3 days a week and don't have to worry about the stress on my wife having to help move my almost dead weight.


The Manager has been absolutely brilliant and I am incredibly grateful for her expert care and kindness.

The carers from Right At Home Dundee / Angus have been excellent from day one. The carers have been punctual, cheerful, polite, and respectful, nothing is too much trouble for them. They put my husband at ease when helping him with daily tasks, which makes life easier for all.

My 30+year career in Retail Marketing and Business Development was mostly enjoyable but it left me unfulfilled.


I was yearning to employ the skills I had acquired along the way for the benefit of others and, more particularly, of those in today's society who are vulnerable and can find themselves marginalised as a result.


My grandmother is still alive and looks odds on to become a centenarian.


Despite my two elderly parents being fit and healthy they are helping me understand the effect of the ageing process. I love them dearly.


Watching my Gran and Parents grow old has contributed to my decision to change careers and do my bit to provide quality personal care and support services with the dignity and respect they deserve.
