I came across this company through the CHC to provide EOL/Palliative care for my husband To enable this company to provide quality care for end of life palliative care with patience who also have complex needs the staff need a lot more more training , experience and knowledge to allow them to give
high quality care to these patients . I myself, was having to guide and help staff for parts of the care. Repositioning a patient is more than just moving them up the bed in a slide sheet!
Visits planned for 8am 12noon 4pm and 8 pm. Most morning calls arrived as late as 9.30/10 and the last calls were often between 6.30-7. Only good thing was the app to see the updates they wrote .
Service was terminated abruptly due to dissatisfaction - Turning up on my doorstep a few hours later @10.15 pm on a Friday night to retrieve PPE I thought was rather rude!! On a final note , the girls were friendly but domestic help may be a better direction for them to go.

Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry your experience didn't meet expectations, especially during such a difficult time.At Abimatic Care Ltd, we are committed to providing person-centred, compassionate care, particularly for individuals with complex palliative and end-of-life needs. All our staff are trained in safe repositioning, communication, and holistic care, in line with national standards. We recognise no service is perfect, and your feedback is valuable. While we aim for consistent visit times, delays can occur due to emergencies or client needs, and we apologise if communication was lacking. Regarding PPE retrieval, we follow infection control policies but regret if the timing caused upset and will review this. We're proud of our care team's dedication and are pleased you found them friendly. We'd welcome a conversation to understand your concerns further and ensure improvements.Kind regards

A large number of carers visiting my wife (approx 50 to date).Everyone of them are extremely thoughtful & helpful. They always have a smile on their faces. They treat my wife with respect. Her illness is difficult to cope with & everyone of them take a personal view of her. We also try to make our home
their home when they are here as they work long hours. They do a great job!

When my mum came home on palliative care we knew it was going to be tough. The manager and team have gone above and beyond with their service. They are kind, caring and always considerate of everybody not just my mum. My mum's face lights up every time they enter the room. Thank you so much for all
that you do and have done for us as a family. Cannot recommend these lovely people high enough.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.138)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.138) out of 10 for Abimatic Care is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.538 for Abimatic Care is calculated as follows: ( (31 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 39 Ratings = 4.538
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Abimatic Care is based on 6 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 = 4.6
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2020

Hi, my name is Abi, and I am the Registered Manager at Abimatic Care Ltd.

I have over 20 years of experience in the care sector and more than 5 years working as a Registered Nurse. Over the years, I have supported people across the community, nursing homes, and hospital settings, gaining a strong background in complex care and specialist health support.

Before joining Abimatic Care Ltd, I built a wealth of leadership and clinical experience within the NHS. I worked as a ward manager, where I was responsible for leading teams of care staff and Band 5 nurses, ensuring high standards of patient care were delivered in a fast-paced environment. I also worked as a Clinical Nurse Manager, overseeing the planning and delivery of safe and effective care, as well as mentoring and supporting staff in their professional development. In addition, my role as an Emergency Department Nurse gave me the opportunity to further enhance my clinical skills, work under pressure, and respond to complex health needs quickly and effectively. These experiences shaped my leadership style and strengthened my commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.

Supporting people throughout my career has given me not only professional skills but also a deep understanding of what truly matters in care. For me, good care goes beyond providing clinical support — it’s about being person-centred, showing kindness, and building meaningful relationships with those we support. I believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected in their own home, and I am passionate about helping people live as independently as possible while enjoying the best quality of life.

Care, to me, is never just about meeting needs. It’s about building trust, empowering choice, and making everyday life brighter, whether through a small act of kindness or through providing the complex support someone requires. I take great pride in making sure that the services we deliver at Abimatic Care Ltd reflect this philosophy every single day.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, discovering new places and cultures, and relaxing with music and audiobooks. These hobbies help me recharge and give me fresh perspectives that I bring back into my work and leadership.

Leading Abimatic Care Ltd gives me the chance to bring together my experience, clinical expertise, and passion for care. My goal is to ensure that every individual we support receives not just the highest standard of care, but care that is compassionate, empowering, and truly person-focused.
