Care is bespoke and built around each person's individual needs, preferences and daily routine. Support can include personal care, help with medication, meal preparation, housekeeping, and assistance getting ready for bed, alongside escorting to appointments, running errands, companionship, and even looking after pets, helping people stay connected to the things that matter to them.
The Hub supports a wide range of needs, including dementia, Parkinson's, stroke recovery, multiple sclerosis, cancer, Huntington's, and physical or learning disabilities. A small, consistent team of carers is assigned to each person, so clients see familiar faces and keep to agreed visit times, helping to build trust and genuine continuity of care.
Carers are employed and managed from the nearest Island Healthcare care home, giving The Hub access to wider clinical and management support when needed. All staff undergo thorough training and DBS checks, and lone-working risk assessments are carried out to keep both carers and clients safe. The service operates daily from 7am to 9pm, with telephone support available outside these hours via the linked care home for advice in an emergency.

The care, attention to detail, empathy and kindness that we have recieved, each and every day, is invaluable to his health and wellbeing, physically and mentally. Enabling him to remain in his own home where he so wants to be. Nothing is too much trouble, from taking phone calls from myself when I am worried about him, bringing him a lovely home cooked meal from the hub, or taking time to simply just have a chat with him.
