Vanessa Jane Purser is a highly experienced and dedicated Recruitment and Training Manager with over two decades of hands-on experience in the health and social care sector. Her career has been built on a foundation of compassion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that every service user receives the highest standard of person-centred care.

Vanessa’s expertise covers all aspects of care delivery, workforce development, and staff supervision. She has successfully led and trained care teams across a wide range of settings, ensuring compliance with national care standards and best practices. Her background includes extensive experience in staff recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management, as well as developing and delivering in-house training programmes designed to maintain excellence across all areas of care.

As a qualified trainer, Vanessa holds Level 3 accreditations in Manual Handling and Medication Training, alongside recognised qualifications in Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Risk Assessment, Dignity in Care, Dementia Awareness, and Person-Centred Planning. She is currently pursuing her NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, further enhancing her leadership and operational expertise.

Vanessa is known for her strong interpersonal and communication skills, her ability to identify and nurture potential within care teams, and her commitment to continuous improvement. She thrives on supporting others to reach their full potential — ensuring that every member of the team feels valued, competent, and confident in their role.

Introducing Chris Mitchell – Senior Governance & Audit Manager

We are delighted to welcome Chris Mitchell to PureSoul Care as our Senior Governance & Audit Manager.

Chris brings over 15 years of experience in the care sector, including previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager. His extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of care quality and leadership make him a valuable addition to our senior management team.

Chris has joined PureSoul Care in a newly structured senior role, created to further strengthen our governance, quality assurance, auditing, compliance and overall service standards.

His role includes overseeing quality assurance, care audits, care records, care plans and risk assessments, electronic visit monitoring, medication governance, safeguarding, incidents and complaints, staff training and competency, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

A key part of Chris’s role will be making sure that our quality systems do more than simply meet regulatory requirements. He will work closely with our management and care teams to identify areas for improvement, monitor standards, review concerns and ensure that actions taken are effective and lead to positive outcomes for the people we support.

Chris will also support our staff to maintain high professional standards, strengthen communication and accountability, and ensure that concerns are identified and escalated appropriately. His experience as a former CQC Registered Manager provides valuable insight into the importance of strong leadership, effective governance and a culture of continuous learning.

Most importantly, Chris shares our commitment to person-centred care, dignity, respect, compassion and the wellbeing of every individual we support. His focus will always be on helping ensure that our clients receive safe, reliable and high-quality care, while giving families greater confidence that their loved ones are being supported by a well-managed and accountable care service.
