Lago Homecare - Yarm Office

Lago provided care for my 92 year old mother who is blind and disabled. The carers were professional, patient with her and friendly staying for the full hour. I would not hesitate in recommending LAGO and would use them again if needed.

Lago Care cared for our 96 year old nana for several months going from 1 call a day up to 4 calls a day as my nan's care became more complex. We couldn't have wished for a better company. Lago Care offered flexibility in changing the number of calls to support us in managing her care and making changes to the care plan. We live >200 miles away so it was important for us to have good communication with Lago Care and trust that they would care for our nan properly. Lago Care are brilliant, the team are made up of compassionate carers that were actually interested in my nana and were able to escalate things quickly when nana needed to go to hospital. They have great attention to detail and always strived to do their best for my nan. We found the App very helpful to stay abreast of developments too. We could not have navigated this last 6 or so months without them and highly recommend them to anyone looking for care. 5 Stars from our family on every level!

Our experience with Lago Homecare has been so positive. All the care people who visit my Mum are so professional and caring. She looks forward to their visits every day. They go over and above their roll and all are a pleasure to deal with.

From the time Lago started caring for my husband, they were kind, caring and compassionate. They provided an excellent standard of care, changing his care plan as his needs changed. They are observant of any concerns, getting medical attention when needed. When my husband was very poorly, they stayed past their working hours late at night. They also made sure I was ok at every visit. They treated my husband with dignity and respect. As my husband nears the end of his life, I could not have asked for any better care. I can't thank them enough.

All visits are thoroughly documented through an app and we are able to see notes on each visit. This has been able to give us great comfort. I would thoroughly recommend the service to anyone with care needs that would like to stay in their home.

We have used Lago for only a short time before my wife was admitted to hospital. We found them to be caring and helpful and will continue with them when appropriate.

Excellent service provided by Lago. Carers are very chatty and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. They have taken time to get to know mam and her 'little ways' and are always alert for any signs that she may not be well. This has meant we have been able to get medical attention for her quickly. The communication between family and office is excellent and we feel comfortable discussing mams needs and fears with them. We have had bad experiences previously with carers so I was uneasy to begin with but Lago have been amazing with mam and put us all at ease. I'm happy to go away now knowing she is in good hands. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for care for loved ones.

Cannot praise all the staff that help my father-in law daily . It has been so wonderful knowing he is getting the right support & care , we can relax more with being able to read his daily reports from Lago & has helped us massively with knowing what care if any that he will need from us. We only have Lago come in for half hour a day to help & within that time they take such good care of my father - in law, he really enjoys seeing them & having a little joke with them all. They always take the time to make my mother -in- law a tea also even tho it is only my father-in-law that needs the care. I would recommend anyone looking for help to Lago homecare. Everything has been very professional from the start & we look forward to continuing with them over the coming years.

I got in touch with Lago homecare to arrange care for my mum after a stroke and to give me a little break as I am working full time and was finding it hard to fit everything in they were very quick to meet and discuss my mums needs and the carers have been very helpful with mum they are very friendly and will always have a chat with her once they have done their jobs and it's peace of mind for me knowing my mums safe while I'm at work. I organised a care package for my father through Lago who are local to us, from the initial enquiry, follow up assessment and the care and attention given I would highly recommend their services whether short term or long term.. the communication from the start and throughout has been prompt and very professional and put my mind at ease with having to organise this for the first time, thank you again to the Director , The manager and all the team at Lago

I organised respite care for my mum to cover a long planned short break. This is the first time I've organised care and the first time mum has had experience of a carer coming in daily

From first contact with Lago Homecare, my queries were answered quickly and in depth. A meeting was arranged with the Care Manager, my mum and myself whereupon a comprehensive questionnaire was completed covering her care needs, medication and exactly what would be required during a carers visit

Neither myself or mum have any complaints about the quality of the care provision. Mum was treated with respect and compassion. Having the same person call in each day provided continuity and routine.

The App was very useful to check on how the daily visit had been and whether there had been any issues. It would have been helpful if the App had stayed live until the end of the final day

I would have no hesitation in using Lago Homecare again and would happily recommend the Company to others

I am 87 and my wife is 85, she has been my carer for 4 years following lung cancer and spinal surgery. Our family told my wife she should get help. We selected Lago and had a home visit. I agreed a care package of 1 day of 3/4 of an hour for showering, washing, dressing and bed making. The other two days of half an hour for dressing, washing, and bed making. The carers are professional and very caring and have become our friends. They are always on time and have proved reliable. We often have a laugh and plenty of chit chat. I would recommend Lago to anybody.

Friendly, reliable, helpful and flexible care providers. Cannot fault Lago Homecare for the service they have offered. They have always bent over backwards to accommodate my parents' needs, including some last-minute bookings. My parents also appreciate the continuity of staff that Lago have been able to offer: other companies offered to cover the visits with up to eight or even ten staff members, Lago have done so with two, which has helped my parents form a bond with their carers and made things much easier for my father, who has Alzheimer's.

After using Lago Homecare for the past few months I cannot praise them enough for the way they have treated me. Everyone is kind, caring and professional allowing me to recover from my surgery with dignity and enabling me to make progress at my own pace. They are also flexible enough so that my daily routine can be adjusted when needed eg for hospital appointments. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

We are relieved to have found such a great care provider as Lago Homecare. At one of the most difficult times of our lives, they have been willing to do so much to support us and we have received excellent care. Making contact with Lago is easy and quick. Our experience has been of an incredible support worker who is willing to do everything possible to make life as easy in our home as it can be, despite difficult circumstances.
