Lago Homecare is an independent, community-based provider of exceptional care at home across Teesside and North Yorkshire.

Services can range from 30 minutes up to 24-hour live-in care and can be tailored to care and support needs of varying complexities.

A service user may need help showering, getting dressed, or with other elements of their personal care. They may instead be recovering from a stay in hospital and require reablement care and support through discharge back into their home. Perhaps it is the family and loved ones with existing care responsibilities who need respite care and support to provide them with the time and space for recuperation.

Lago Homecare can also provide high quality care and support to those living with learning disabilities. This is always delivered with the service user at the heart of what they do, and with a keen focus on outcomes-based care and support.

Staff at Lago Homecare are comprehensively trained before delivering any care and support, with any service user-specific training undertaken before the care and support plan starts.

Cannot praise all the staff that help my father-in law daily . It has been so wonderful knowing he is getting the right support & care , we can relax more with being able to read his daily reports from Lago & has helped us massively with knowing what care if any that he will need from us. We only have
Lago come in for half hour a day to help & within that time they take such good care of my father - in law, he really enjoys seeing them & having a little joke with them all. They always take the time to make my mother -in- law a tea also even tho it is only my father-in-law that needs the care. I would recommend anyone looking for help to Lago homecare. Everything has been very professional from the start & we look forward to continuing with them over the coming years.

I got in touch with Lago homecare to arrange care for my mum after a stroke and to give me a little break as I am working full time and was finding it hard to fit everything in they were very quick to meet and discuss my mums needs and the carers have been very helpful with mum they are very friendly
and will always have a chat with her once they have done their jobs and it's peace of mind for me knowing my mums safe while I'm at work. Would definitely recommend Lago homecare

I organised a care package for my father through Lago who are local to us, from the initial enquiry, follow up assessment and the care and attention given I would highly recommend their services whether short term or long term.. the communication from the start and throughout has been prompt and very

I organised respite care for my mum to cover a long planned short break. This is the first time I've organised care and the first time mum has had experience of a carer coming in daily


From first contact with Lago Homecare, my queries were answered quickly and in depth. A meeting was arranged

with the Care Manager, my mum and myself whereupon a comprehensive questionnaire was completed covering her care needs, medication and exactly what would be required during a carers visit


Neither myself or mum have any complaints about the quality of the care provision. Mum was treated with respect and compassion. Having the same person call in each day provided continuity and routine.


The App was very useful to check on how the daily visit had been and whether there had been any issues. It would have been helpful if the App had stayed live until the end of the final day


I would have no hesitation in using Lago Homecare again and would happily recommend the Company to others

I am 87 and my wife is 85, she has been my carer for 4 years following lung cancer and spinal surgery. Our family told my wife she should get help. We selected Lago and had a home visit. I agreed a care package of 1 day of 3/4 of an hour for showering, washing, dressing and bed making. The other two
days of half an hour for dressing, washing, and bed making. The carers are professional and very caring and have become our friends. They are always on time and have proved reliable. We often have a laugh and plenty of chit chat. I would recommend Lago to anybody.

Friendly, reliable, helpful and flexible care providers. Cannot fault Lago Homecare for the service they have offered. They have always bent over backwards to accommodate my parents' needs, including some last-minute bookings. My parents also appreciate the continuity of staff that Lago have been able
to offer: other companies offered to cover the visits with up to eight or even ten staff members, Lago have done so with two, which has helped my parents form a bond with their carers and made things much easier for my father, who has Alzheimer's.

After using Lago Homecare for the past few months I cannot praise them enough for the way they have treated me. Everyone is kind, caring and professional allowing me to recover from my surgery with dignity and enabling me to make progress at my own pace. They are also flexible enough so that my daily
routine can be adjusted when needed eg for hospital appointments. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

We are relieved to have found such a great care provider as Lago Homecare. At one of the most difficult times of our lives, they have been willing to do so much to support us and we have received excellent care. Making contact with Lago is easy and quick. Our experience has been of an incredible support
worker who is willing to do everything possible to make life as easy in our home as it can be, despite difficult circumstances. We would highly recommend Lago Homecare.

Lago Homecare come to look after my friend who is now 85 years old and in very poor health and not able to look after himself. They are an excellent team, friendly, compassionate and excellent with the care they are giving him. Would highly recommend this team of lovely people.

Before founding Lago Homecare I worked in accountancy and finance for 9 years, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2019.


I developed skills and experience in that time but my real passion was in managing and leading people. I also wanted to leave work every day feeling that I was making a positive difference.


I moved into the care sector because of the influence of my grandparents on my life, and also because I believe that there is an opportunity to build a different kind of care provider - one that prioritises quality of care and their staff equally.

I began my career in care in 1994 after having my first son. This was working in a local home for people living with chronic neurological conditions, people relearning what they can achieve, and adapting to uncertain futures.


As a carer, I quickly learned my strengths are formed by my values; integrity, compassion, kindness and hope. This was the start of what has now been a 30-year career, caring for and supporting people with various needs - older people, people living with dementia, people experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues, and people living with various learning disabilities.
