When we decided that my mother needed a carer, we at first found it difficult as we needed to ensure that they could not only help with and manage her physical and social needs but also her emotional wellbeing. Moreover, we needed my mother to accept any such help. The particular carer who works with my mother visits in several occasions during the day. Her care is delivered either professional and patient style. I was worried at first because my mother can be very particular about people going into her home but now she looks forward to seeing her carer whom she has a very good relationship with.
