Be caring have helped with caring for my 92 year old mother since July this year. It has been so reassuring to know they will be there when I can't. She receives an early morning and evening visit to help her dress and undress again for bed. We have found the carers to be friendly, efficient and extremely
patient. Their help has been invaluable to us as a family and mam is very comfortable with all the girls. Thank you.

My sister is very pleased with the care she recieves the carers are lovely they are very gentle with her. They make sure everything is done to make her comfortable and make sure she has her meals. They also have a chat with her and a laugh; as she does not get out much they cheer her up.

My experience of Be caring is excellent the carers are extremely helpful and supportive. I consider myself to be rather lucky having my carer around me on a daily basis and I couldn't ask anymore from them. From the people in the office to the carers themselves they should be very proud of the team
that they have.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.120) out of 10 for Be Caring North Tyneside is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.870 for Be Caring North Tyneside is calculated as follows: ( (20 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 23 Ratings = 4.87
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Be Caring North Tyneside is based on 4 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 = 4.25
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Operations Manager Joined: 2012

I transitioned from a career in retail to homecare when my children no longer needed childcare—and I haven’t looked back since. Over the past 13 years, I’ve built my experience across every level of homecare: Care Worker, Senior Care Worker, Visiting Officer, Care Coordinator, Service Manager, and now Operations Manager for the North East.

I hold a Diploma in Management in Health and Social Care, which has been key to developing my leadership skills and supporting our teams. I believe homecare is one of the most rewarding roles in our society—helping people stay independent and thrive in their own homes.

What really drives me is our people. I’m incredibly proud of the dedication and professionalism of our staff, and I know that by empowering them with the right training and support, we deliver the outstanding care our clients deserve.

Job Title: Service Manager Joined: 2011

I started in care back in 2011 as a part-time carer, driven by a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Over the past decade I’ve developed my skills and progressed through roles like Care Coordinator—each step deepening my commitment to home care.

Today, I’m proud to lead our North Tyneside branch as Service Manager. I hold an NVQ in Health and Social Care and I'm working towards further qualifications to keep learning and growing.

I’m passionate about helping people maintain their independence and quality of life—values that match Be Caring’s mission perfectly. I’m grateful to work alongside a dedicated team who share my drive for delivering compassionate, person-centred care every day.

Job Title: Regional Trainer Joined: 2012

My care journey began back at university, where I was studying Environmental Engineering and needed a flexible job. I started supporting a single client and quickly discovered how rewarding it is to make a real difference in someone’s day.

After graduating, I moved to the UK with plans to work in engineering, but my early care experience led me back to the sector—I’ve now been in domiciliary care for 18 years, including nearly 13 with Be Caring. Over time I’ve built lasting relationships with clients and colleagues across the North East.

Last year I stepped into the role of Regional Trainer, which has been both intensive and incredibly fulfilling. I love passing on what I’ve learned—whether it’s practical tips in the field or best practices on person-centred care—and watching colleagues grow in confidence.

Alongside my university degree, I hold an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Adult Social Care, a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, a Level 3 Understanding Dementia, and a Highfield Level 3 Award in Education and Training. I’m always eager to learn more and bring fresh insights back to our team.
