Meet the Team (2)
I have a deep commitment to serving my community and beyond. With a compassionate approach, my focus is to provide opportunities and an environment for others, so they are able to flourish. Having been born and brought up in Leeds and Wakefield, it is a privilege to be providing care in my hometown area.
I grew up around care in the family business and began as a carer. I then spent over 20 wonderful years in education as a secondary teacher and senior leader. I am passionate about empowering others through continuing professional development and went on to train and coach senior leaders. I now run our family care home. My own values are rooted in principles of service and contributing towards a more equitable society where everyone can thrive. This means improving the lives of all staff, caregivers, clients and their families.
I am therefore proud to be part of the Visiting Angels family, where we strive to deliver the very best compassionate, holistic, person-centred care with our team of dedicated, empathetic and skilled caregivers. Equally important to us is promoting a cultural shift that truly recognises and values all who work in and around care. Listening and creating meaningful relationships are at the heart of what we do. I would like to thank you for considering us in such an important role and we hope we can help your loved one to continue to live at home whilst giving you peace of mind.
I am the Registered Manager at Visiting Angels, with over 20 years’ experience in health and social care. I began my journey in care at 17, building my career within residential care settings before progressing into leadership roles, including Deputy Manager, and now Registered Manager in domiciliary care.
My experience across care home and community settings has given me a strong understanding of how to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care that truly meets individual needs. I am passionate about supporting people to remain independent in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure.
Having worked within my local community for many years, it is a privilege to now support individuals and families in the area I call home. I understand the importance of building trust, listening, and providing reassurance to both clients and their loved ones.
My leadership approach is centred on supporting others to grow. I am committed to developing and empowering our caregivers, creating a positive environment where they feel valued, confident and supported to deliver the highest standards of care.
I am proud to be part of the Visiting Angels family, where we are dedicated to delivering relationship-led care. For me, care is about making a meaningful difference every day, ensuring every person we support feels respected, safe, and truly cared for.
