In 2007, I moved to the UK and worked as a visiting carer in Surrey, where I built my experience and expertise in delivering high-quality care. As my career progressed, I took on leadership roles, managing large Visiting and Live-In Care companies across southern and central England. I also gained valuable experience as a Dementia Care Manager in a nursing home in Epsom, working closely with nurses to enhance care for residents.
Alongside my hands-on experience, I have earned numerous qualifications in Health and Social Care, completed a CIPD Level 5 in HR Management, and achieved an MBA. I firmly believe that when we support and invest in our employees, they, in turn, provide exceptional care to our clients.
In my spare time, I stay active through running and skiing, but I also enjoy unwinding at home with a good crime novel.
What I love about working in the social care sector is that it allows me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. For nearly a decade, I have been dedicated to health and social care, finding immense reward in supporting individuals and their families.
My journey began as a domiciliary care assistant, and through hard work and dedication, I progressed into management. After achieving my QCF Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care, I worked as a CQC Registered Care Manager for over six years. During this time, I also managed a portfolio of live-in clients and carers for a larger provider. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is guiding families through the process of setting up, planning, and implementing care for their loved ones.
Over the years, I have completed extensive training and qualifications, enabling me to provide expert guidance. My particular area of expertise is dementia care, having worked closely with many individuals living with dementia.
Outside of work, I love exploring the outdoors through hiking, discovering new places, and immersing myself in a good book. I’m also a devoted animal lover.
I am deeply passionate about providing high-quality care and have dedicated 17 years to the sector, supporting individuals of all ages—from children to the elderly. My journey in domiciliary care began over four years ago, starting as a carer before progressing to a care manager.
For me, delivering care is personal; I believe it should always meet the standard I would expect for myself and my loved ones. Having lived in the local area all my life, I take great pride in supporting my community with compassionate and professional care.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, going to the theatre, attending concerts, and watching movies. At home, I have a little menagerie of animals that keep life interesting!
