I grew up helping in my parents’ care home, seeing how thoughtful support transforms daily life. That experience shaped a career devoted to high standards and respect for those we serve.

I progressed through care home management, then moved into NVQ/SVQ training and coaching before returning to senior care leadership — building services that value staff as much as clients.

Today, I lead our care team, recruiting, nurturing, and retaining the talent to deliver outstanding home care people deserve across Dumfries & Galloway.

A serial entrepreneur with 25+ years’ global experience, I helped drive Johnnie Walker’s growth in Asia before launching eight successful start-up ventures in China & Europe.

Caring for my parents, both with dementia, revealed the gulf between basic care and care that actively enriches quality of life. The experience shaped my resolve to raise standards and rethink home care.

Now back in D&G, I’m using my business and innovation skills to build a care service that honours older people’s wit, wisdom, experience, and values.
